I don't see how it's unsafe, and its construction seems very simple to me.
The Rope Junction is irrelevant to it. I imagine they can see that.

Because if someone falls (I.E. let's go of the rope) they could hit whatever is holding the ropes up on their way down.

For a normal fall, like slipping off the rope on accident or somthing, it wouldn't be an issue, we fall and bang against stuff all the time while on a harness rock climbing.

They can have three ropes attached to the top. But as you need to make one transfer to another rope, the rope would end and turn into the white elastic/band that holds the rope at the top. Thus, you won't be able to climb the rope from that part on, so you will have to make a transfer.

Heck they might change the opening for the top (instead of a small hole) to be like Kunoichi where it was a straight wall (guessing here I'm speculating) since I believe part of teh problem was the 3 ropes intertwining.. Similar to the problem they had with Kongo getting caught on the rope and the safety line They had a rope transfer for Viking where you had a red ribbon tied aroudn the area where they told you you had to do something else. In Viking you had to do arm transfer to the first marker then able to change to use your legs. In the 3 Minutes episode they didn't allow you to use your legs at all on the rope that Nagano used to get across the bay. I'm sure if they plan to use multiple transfers they'd have a marker showing when you can do certain things.
