(Didn't want to post this in the Training Forum due to 24 spoilers)
For those of you who train and who know TBS has already announced 25 will have a Kanzen/Perfect Renewal (No seriously, their actual words were "Kanzen Renewal"), How are we supposed to train when we have no idea what to expect?
And do you feel a bit annoyed all this Shin Sasuke training of mastering all the obstacles has gone to waste since most of those obstacles won't be on the course anymore.
Should we train for those just in case they return and even start training for old obstacles in case they bring them back ?(TBS has had a habit about that recently..)
To be honest this really hit me without time to think about it so what AM I supposed to train with?

Training for obstacles may be irrelevant.
But I assume the 3rd stage will take upper body strength, and so on.
Honestly, this doesn't change my training at all, expect for the replica obstacles I have currently.
... which is just the swing ladder and the crappiest Cliff Hanger on the planet.

How does that even stay up?

How does that even stay up? It has two screws in the wall.. The duct tape is both cover the gap there was until I tightened the screws all the way in and also to make it slicker than if it was just plain wood and door frame.

I think we should train for the older, more difficult obstacles and come up with new stuff to challenge ourselves. Also try to train for possible obstacle chains like what we saw with the Salmon Ladder + Unstable Bridge and more stuff like in Stage 3 like Jumping Bars + Ascending Climb + Spider Flip, but with higher difficulty obstacles. And also prepare not just for upper body combos but for something they could possibly do in Stage 1.
Stage 1 as it's been was: do an obstacle, run to the next, do an obstacle, run to the next, and repeat until finish.
And of course, work on your core and keep challenging yourself. I'd also keep practicing those popular shin obstacles because it's nice to have those skills in your arsenal. Who knows, they might just make new obstacles based off the current favorites.

I plan to continue training for all the previous Shin-SASUKE obstacles. They may not come up, but the strength and ability that come with training for them will apply to any new obstacles too. But a renewal like this is really where Parkour actually helps give an edge! Parkour demands that you be extremely adaptable to whatever obstacles come your way, so that even if you don't know what's coming you'll still be able to clear said obstacle. I remain confident that, assuming I can find a way to apply for SASUKE 25, I could (or very nearly could) complete the First Stage.

So pretty much the best thing to do about now is try to just take what obstacles we know and make them far harder? And think up all kinds of new crap to do to try to prepare for something completely un-expected. And train of the hardest obstacles in a row (if theres some way to replicate them)
Also.. What exactly should I do on that disaster of a cliffhanger? XD

2 screws can hold you up? Damn, I'm under estimating the power of screws.
I'll post my cliff hanger when its bright out. You may have beat me though. But at least you got the specs right >_>

Well it's mostly the doorframe holding the weight. That's just a small peice of wood extending the doorframe. And the screws go through the wood and the frame into the wall so it should be secure. Although I'm kind of worried about how strong the doorframe itself is XD

Well, I guess you can't really train knowing for sure what's gonna be there. But, there've always been certain things that you can expect to be at the course, like some sort of trampoline obstacle, a Spider Walk of some kind possibly, maybe another log obstacle of some kind, Wall Lifting, some form of the Cliffhanger, some rope obstacles, and I honestly think that they'll still have the Salmon Ladder in some way or another. So, I guess you could replicate the obstacles you think or assume are gonna be there in some form or another. And for the unknown obstacles, just train so that you're adaptable. The third stage is probably the easiest to train for, because recently it's mainly been hanging from your arms in some way or another, so just pullups and make sure you can hang off narrow ledges and whatnot. For the first stage, I'd work on alot of agility and alot of plyometrics to make sure you're very quick and explosive for any sort of jumping or agility type of obstacle, and stamina of course. And the second stage may have speed be a factor again, so make sure you're very quick and work on upper body strength and endurance for this stage, since they've added more upper-body related obstacles into this stage recently. And the Final Stage is almost guaranteed to have a rope climb of some type. So, just replicate what you can assume will be there, and try to train so that you can adapt to obstacles you're seeing for the first time. At least, that's how I'd go about it.

My golden rule for Sasuke training: If you're not doing pullups, you're not training for Sasuke.

I'm just gonna stick to what I've been doing for training. Hopefully I'll get an SD card for my camera soon so I can upload the videos that I'll make of this...
