Why would Yuuji not be at Sasuke 25? Why was Akiyama not at SASUKE 5? Don't quote me on this, but I thought it was because he thought he had done everything that could be done in SASUKE, but then someone said he should go back and show everyone that he was the best. And we all know how that worked out. Besides, Yuuji has been trying since SASUKE 11, he's not just gonna up and quit because he won.

Um, Akiyama wasn't at 5 because he was busy setting up his massage clinic. I've never heard any other explanation, to be honest.

sorry for keeping the Off Topic but... It may be another Ninja Warrior Information Screwup, but didn't Akiyama have a knee injury too? They keep saying so.

That was before Sasuke 11, where he couldn't even scale his Warped Wall at home, but somehow did so in the actual competition, and passed Stage 1 with 0.03 secs left. Made it all the way to the Body Prop that time, too.

God I loved Sasuke 11.. yeah I think he had surgery to fix that right before 11 and everyone was doubting he'd make it to the wall. One tourney G4 reaaaaaally screwed up with their editing.. btw that was my first tourney I'd ever seen of Sasuke

Well, admittedly your reasoning would have been perfectly plausible. Akiyama did say once (maybe it was during that Golden Muscle special?) that he wanted to achieve Kanzenseiha twice, in order to leave a record that no one would be able to beat. Possibly you heard some variant of that.
And 11 was great, with Akiyama finally getting past stage 1 and all... 12 he did better in (almost made it to final!), but 11 had a much greater effect, coming after a 5-tourney losing streak.

Ok, here's my guess. Call it going out on a limb.
TBS seems to want to make a big deal on the "new stars" against the "all stars". Thats why I figure they're going to jumble them all up within the 90's and up.
If they want to put Nagano directly against Yuuji, I'm betting they want to increase the drama, and make:
100: Yuuji 99: Nagano
From there, they will either put the "new stars" (All I mean, is the other 4 that made the final stage) from 98 to 95 , and then follow up with the All-Stars to finish the line-up. Takeda as 94, and further down the line.
--------------------------------
However, I do see an alternate possibility. I say they keep the Yuuji 100/Nagano 99, but from there, I see them jumbling up the lines, creating a direct 1:1 competition.
98: All Star 97: Stage 4 Qualifier 96: All Star 95: Stage 4 Qualifier 94: All Star 93: Stage 4 Qualifier 92: All Star 91: Stage 4 Qualifier
Or whatnot. You get the idea.
It tells you mentally who they want to put 1 vs. 1, without actually saying it. Now yes, everyone is always rooting one-another on, but I think this will be healthy. Each person see's the one before them, and thinks "Hey, if they can do it, and I'm in the same league as them, I can do it too!"

unclesam098:- "100: Yuuji 99: Nagano 98: All Star 97: Stage 4 Qualifier 96: All Star 95: Stage 4 Qualifier 94: All Star 93: Stage 4 Qualifier 92: All Star 91: Stage 4 Qualifier"
interesting...i have a hunch that TBS will adopt your idea! Very likely based on what TBS had been doing lately...

are there many all-stars left? Bunpei is likely done and Akiyama and Yamada close and I doubt they'd be given #s in the 90s.

I mean, if they do that, they are forcing Kanno, Sato, and Levi (Let's face it, he's pretty much guarenteed, granted ANW 2 is for 25) out of the 90s, in favor of either Yamada or Akiyama.

i think unclesam means a 1 vs 1 matching among old & new competitors or something like that, "you get the idea", of course it won't be exactly his 91~100.

I haven't read this thread at all, but I assume Nagano will be #99. It would be an insult if Yugi doesn't get #100 after winning but they're not going to put nagano back more...not yet anyway.

Yuuji should get #100- after all, he is the current champion! Nagano will not be too gutted about #99 and may just get that #100 back again.

Yeah, Nagano will be thrilled, if anything, and tell Yuuji to keep the #100. He wore #99 when he won, after all.

Yuuji will keep #100 for a long time unless: 1. Yuuji repeatedly fails stage 1 consecutively like 3 ~ 5 times in a row. Not likely. 2. Nagano or anyone ELSE starts to do very well, getting close a few times, doing better than Yuuji or Nagano. Who knows??? A "shin-shin-shin-shin" unknown star? Anything is possible. ;D 3. I believe anyone who reads arsenette's post / blog knows that Nagano personally dislikes being #100. So davidyko is right that nagano is more than happy. 4. Most guys here would have read about my "theory" on #100. Unfortunately my theory still stands true after sasuke 24. For once, I hate to be right. 5. In conjuction with my "#100 theory", apart from Miyake, the "#100" is not a big deal really, maybe even Yuuji won't want it but i may be wrong. Wait, iirc Yuuji had said "99 is heavy". ;D
