Anyone know where Honma fell? I can't remember seeing him. From what I hear he failed the Jumping Spider in a Fast-Forward. I don't remember seeing that first hand though.

sorry i'm late, but i finally saw the tournament just now.
i agree 100%, wholeheartedly with everything Badalight has said.
To confirm, Homna did fail the Jumping spider. I wished they'd showed a little more of him, since he's fairly recognizable.

How? It wasn't any easier than 23. EDIT: Forgot to answer the question... >_< Good: -Despite 5 in the final, the right man won. No disrespect to the others, but storywise, the right man won. -Unexpected (/funny) fails, like Tajima and Nagano. -Better Salmon Ladder setup, got rid of the useless Stick Slider. -Good to see old faces, like Washimi, back. Bad: -Third stage barely change at all, and the one change was debatably even harder. 5 clears seems too much, even if it's just a reflection of the quality of people that got there. -All Stars? WTF? -Balance Tank. Why the rope? How was that necessary? Also, the extra 15 seconds was far too much. -X-Bridge was rubbish. Ugly: -TOO LONG. Seriously. I enjoyed it because I'm a hardcore Sasuke fan, but even I found it far, far too long. -Akiyama and Yamada still can't do the Wall? Seriously?

What can we say? It's an a** biting mental obstacle that always comes back for people who practice it. If Sato competes for a long time in the future it will definitely come back give him trouble.

How? It wasn't any easier than 23. -Akiyama and Yamada still can't do the Wall? Seriously? 1. You're right, it wasn't any easier than 23, but it really wasn't any harder. If 2 people made the final, and 3 got extremely close why did they barely change stage 3 at all? Why was stage 1 not any harder? Why was stage 2, despite it's changes, given 15 extra seconds? The course didn't change, that's the point. It was obviously too easy given the skill level of the competitors, and they knew if they didn't change it much SOMEBODY would win. That's what I meant with it, they were really trying to get kanzenseiha, just like in Konuichi 8 they expected 5 people at the final, they tried their hardest to get a winner without completely nerfing the course. 2. Akiyama has never been good at the wall, he never trains his lower body so it's perfectly understandable. Yamada can easily do the wall, it's definately mental with him. Plus did you see how close he was? Centimer... MILIMETERS from reaching the top, it was insane how close he got... but no cigar.

GOOD: Yuuji winning of course, the other four who made the final are legends too
BAD: Shingo failing, no real change to the stages, so competitors had adapted (so a lil bit too easy) Barack Obama getting flat out robbed yet again on the Log Grip.
UGLY: Too damn long PING PING PING!
