No need for a most shocking failure this time. Nagano wins it{/spoiler]

I'm still in shock about that. I always got worried each time he jumped from that far back.. although it sucks to be right

Looked like he dropped down a smidge too soon was in too much of a hurry seemingly.

For me it seems like his foot slipped at the very last second.

Yeah, looks like his feet went to plant on a section that wasn't fiberglass wall, instead just a net, so his legs went out and his arms buckled down.

It seemed that he kind of slipped right as he was jumping off, but he did make a mental mistake and he knows it. It was a big 'slip-up' (sorry) but it can happen to anyone at any time when you lose focus or concentration for a split-second.

Actually if you watch his 23 runs he does the same thing, except he's usually just slightly in a different spot, that minor difference was something major this time

I feel like he put his left foot just on the edge between the fiberglass and the net, slipped, and tumbled to his hilarious demise. In every other tournament he does basically the same thing, but just maybe an inch or so higher...and that made all the difference. Nagano himself said he was overconfident there and rushed too much in order to make time for the second half of the stage (which he was worried about after seeing Shingo and Kanno double-Miyazaki the HPA and take four tries on the wall.)

True story: I saw him nail it so I went to go look for duct tape. Then I hear screaming and I'm like WTF?!?!?

Shingo in SASUKE 23, stage 2, after salmon ladder failure on the first ladder (I think this is what he said)
"This is SASUKE"

lol yea I think he was making fun of someone who always says that. I think Takahashi (Kongu) Kenji said that after he botched the gliding ring in 23 and laughed about it ( I guess because he was right next to shingo when he said it during the second stage

I thought he attempted to skip out the upward climb bit at the end of it by jumping the last part with his momentum, and, when trying to get his arms in for support, slipped because he was going too fast.

I was laying down in my bed becoming tired (computer's in my room go me) and saw Nagano pass and I was like "Ah no problem", then I see him slip and my jaw hit the floor and suddenly now I'm wide awake lol. I thought he jumped off too early and whiffed the mat but after the close-up he had a nasty slip.

well right before Nagano's run, Yuuji changed from a white shirt to black. And when I saw him I remembered the trailer in NAVI. The one where Yuuji was wearing a black T Shirt and screamed his scream. I knew Nagano would fail after that. But i kinda was hoping he wouldnt

I think Nagano takes the Jumping spider for granted by going way too quickly on it everytime. This time it really backfired on him.

Honestly, I think Nagano was more disappointed with Takeda than he was with himself.
You can't be incredible every tournament...

I never thought the day would come when Nagano would fail the Jumping Spider.
