Let' be honest and agree on how easy the Half pipe attack has become and how cautious Akiyama is this time. I'm really not worried about him failing that obstacle anymore, the real challenge is at the Kabe, the warped wall. Failing it 3 out of his 6 previous attempts, it's given competitors who haven't reached it or practiced it in a while, trouble. I really dont want him to fail it.

Second try, The Warped Wall has gotten taller since his last attempt on it. The height suprises him first time. Second time he makes it

Chacky doesn't mean it's the great wall just with no rope, some believe they put a couple extra inches atop the warped wall as a reaction of no one (only Iketani comes to mind) failing it in 22.

Several is what I say. If he has had trouble with it before, he'll likely continue having trouble with it (that is, unless he's been practicing on a replica of it lately, which I sort of doubt). Besides, Akiyama hasn't even gotten to the Warped Wall in competition since Sasuke 16, which isn't helping him at all with beating it. Sorry to Akiyama and his fans, but I'm rather pessimistic on him clearing this obstacle, let alone Stage 1.

Maybe it depends on how his eyesight is holding up. I don't know if it was a factor in him beating the wall, but if it was, then depending on his current condition it might take him several tries or one go.

yamfriend, saw an old clip of Akiyama with the wall at his home. i suspect all the serious competitors have a replica or something close to it. i assume that they must have trained for it. So why do they still fail it or take too much time on it? Fatigue.
IMHO, if the S.Kabe was the 1st obstacle, most of the experienced All-Stars or serious experienced guys could clear it 1st time. But of course it is always near the end, when you are probably very tired. All the All-Stars & many other athletic contenders have to try a 2nd time at least once in competition ( maybe once in a while ). So in my opinion, the S.Kabe is a test of lower body strength, technique & STAMINA.
As for Akiyama, i go for 3 times this time ( why? well i am just guessing without basis ). Regards

The thing about replicas is that they have to be very close to the real thing for there to be any benefit. Mastering a homemade obstacle of incorrect dimensions is worse than not practicing it at all imho.
I think this is what happened to Yamada on the Jumping Spider. He was so use to a certain "feel" that just didn't work on the real thing.

Honestly though.. Yamada's a) is not high enough b) can't do much when you overthink something.. you can train until the cows come home but if your mind isn't working right that day you are sipping septic sludge.
