Now, I know all about what has been going on, and how all signs up to this point, point to no Americans being there. But, on the official page, at the very top there the line is again: 新星vs英雄vsアメリカ (New faces vs Heroes {All Stars} vs America) www.tbs.co.jp/program/sasukesp_20100101.htmlJust saying, if there really are no Americans in 24, why put that line back in there again?

The TV magazine that I have has dropped the Americans part and added in something about entertainers. I'm pretty sure the TBS blurb was up earlier but I'll see if later magazines (most magazines are only for the upcoming week or so) say the same.

"Scheduling conflict" could very well be a coverup by G4...

"Scheduling conflict" could very well be a coverup by G4... uhm, no. No americans applying directly to japan got selected. And we know David and levi didn't go, and almost for certain that Brian didn't go either. So who would they have sended? Most likely no americans in 24, it's not a cover-up by g4, lol.

The Sasuke Mania page also had that for a few hours and then someone caught it. It was clearly a cut and paste from the original information. G4 was going to send a couple Americans but prior obligations nixed that idea. I assume after that G4 just decided to wait until ANW2 instead of allowing others to pay their way through preserving the right of G4 to send future entries. I'm sure this page was just another cut and paste and no one bothered going back and editing it unlike what they did in Sasuke Mania.

G4's probably gonna go on 25 saying they "decided" not to send anyone for 24 to give Americans more time to prepare and train.
With G4-ians not going for 24, anyone know if Terek's gonna be there? I wanna see him get his revenge! He's a giant!

Oh I'm sure there will be foreigners.. heck maybe even Jordan again (who just happens to be now a US Citizen ) or even Terek or someone else entirely. Just not a G4/ANW/ANC person. Given that G4 left after the 1st stage I am thinking for sure they didn't pay for anyone else to go TBS/M9 would have paid for them to be there. (meaning a big name and an invited guest.)

Although having the G4-icans not wear Ninja Warrior outfits last time was a breath of fresh air, having non G4 American representatives and just athletes would be even fresher.

It will be refreshing only because G4 can't destroy 24's broadcast to reedit it to fit their own agenda. I don't hate any of the ANC competitors.. I don't like the system .. never have. ANW at least was a step in the right direction but even there.. they trumped the entire ANW as being more important than the actual Sasuke course. ANW wasn't even a Sasuke in America thing.. if it were they would have actually announced it and promoted it as such. It was the ONLY way to Sasuke and thus it was a trials. Gah G4 gives me ulcers.
So yes 24 is going to be fantastic though I feel bad for the USA fans who got locked out of it simply because G4 was being anal.

I bet G4 won't even air 24 and pretend it never happened. (just like they're probably doing with 23)
Or maybe they lost the rights to SASUKE altogether. Have we considered that?

Yes... they're going through all this trouble talking about it for months, setting up a whole course, sending 10 people to Japan, for something that they're never going to show... Really!?Not to mention they already sent some of their staff to report (wasn't it Blair Herter and Alison Haislip again?) but left after the first stage at 24? No offense but there is so much wrong with your theory I can't begin to mention it all...

I think you misunderstood his post Arsenette... Oh I know I did.. which is why I was asking for clarification As for G4 losing the rights.. the complete opposite is happening.. they have a stronger grip on it now.. And yes Rider is correct that G4 sent a crew over there and they left after the first stage (Alison tweeted on it).

Ninja Warrior makes them $$. They want the $$. American Ninja Warrior constantly promotes Sasuke 23, so of course they will show it.

I sent G4 emails telling them I would buy my own plane ticket and hotel room (not that i could afford it) if they got me an invite to Sasuke 24 and they said "no, but good luck in ANW2" basically.

New solution.
Let's start a TV channel claim government bailout money and buy the exclusive rights to SASUKE.
WHO'S WITH ME!!!

Okay Dave, here's the deal. ANC4 was perhaps the contest that had the slimmest odds of making it to Sasuke becuase they could only announce one winner. I was judging G4's formula as a whole, not ANW which I knew you were blocked from. So the odds of making it to Japan through G4 is second to none, unless you happen to be... you, you've beaten incredible odds before.
