By now you guys know Sasuke 24 tapes this Tuesday, December 8th. Unlike Kunoichi 8 the weather is supposed to clear up in time for the tourney.. though this past week it's been pouring cats and dogs.. I suspect it will still be muddy but the actual day is supposed to be pretty nice and not as friggid as I was praying it wouldn't be. www.weather.com/outlook/travel/businesstraveler/tenday/JAXX0085?from=36hr_topnav_businessMon Dec 7 Sunny 54° F, 46° F Tue Dec 8 Cloudy 53° F, 46° F and more importantly 0% chance of precipitation. So no snowing or raining Sasuke 24.. yay!

Having temperatures in the 40s and 50s might have a rather large effect on the tournament's outcome. Regardless of this, thanks for providing this information arsenette!

Weather always plays a factor, the Winter/Spring tournaments always have slightly less success than the Fall ones. Still this is cool news. I was expecting near freezing temperatures but this won't even be the coldest SASUKE.

Yeah we are getting wet snow tomorrow (cough scnoi.. that means you too.. cough) and folks down south are getting ice/snow as we speak.. so yeah it's much warmer in Japan. Ube does say that the temperature has been going up and down as it has been here as well. So freezing one day and warmer the next. Nice to see the weather is going to be at least a lot warmer.. I had visions of people's hands being frozen to the pipes as they tried to maneuver LOL Like.. jumping bars.. and having their hands peel off.. yeah i know gross.. over active imagination

How 'bout sending some of that snow here? I want some. I live in N. West Louisiana. They're getting snow in West Monroe, and even further south in Nachitoches and Alexandria, but we aren't getting any here.
Anyway, I hope the weather is good Tuesday for the tournament. I want to see my two favorites, Shingo and Yamada, do really well (translate: achieve kanzen seiha). Yeah, I know I say that a lot, but they're my favorites, and I want to see them win.

They're calling for snow here in Maryland tommorow but I'm not sure if it really will, they already called for snow last friday and it didn't snow.
But a Cold Sasuke might effect the competitors, usually in the early spring Sasuke competitions where it's colder isn't the Jumping Spider walls usually a bit more slick? And maybe the cold metal might make peoples hands start going numb? because I know for a fact cold jumping bars ain't fun XD

But we are not talking about Kunoichi where it friggin' snowed.. I never said it was, that was pretty much continuing the discussion in the topic and then at the second part of the post trying to steer it back on topic. by saying from experience jumping bars in the 50 degree area is cold! XD

did no one read the numbers? It's not going to be cold.. By the standards of California, that's freezing (and oh how I wish CA had more of that kind of weather)...

50 is cold by California standards, even in San Fran. Not that bad in Germany, though, it's been like that for a few weeks. First snow yesterday Now we get to see how this affects the JS + Yamada.

My area had our first measurable snowfall of the season today. Unbelievably, it snowed for most of the day and we ended up getting a few inches by the time it was ending. Believe it or not, but it actually came down so hard at points (ex.: after cleaning off my mom's car, it was already covered again within minutes) that I'm surprised that we didn't get more, especially considering that it snowed this hard from about 1 P.M. to 9 P.M. or so. I wasn't even expecting snow this early in December, let alone today! Good thing I went to today's semi-annual coin show early. Also, wouldn't a "0% chance of precipitation" mean that the air would be dryer and therefore make it more difficult to climb a rope, i.e. the G-Rope in the Final Stage? After all, my region experienced similar conditions throughout most of the fall and this ended up making climbing rope with my bare hands nearly impossible.

As of 4:00 PM CST today, it's Monday 7:00 AM JST. Crews must be putting final touches on things, hope Mother Nature stays nice until AFTER Sasuke. Weather is the most unpredictable thing out there.

Luckily it's been rain free the past day or so.. last week .. not so much.. usually they have 2 days of testing so they might be a little behind. Seems G4 is heading to Mount Midoriyama so I guess they are either on schedule or they will see the last minute testing.
