Okay, the majority of us probably know that in Sasuke 3, Katsumi Yamada (a.k.a. "Mr. Sasuke) was only a few feet away from achieving Kanzenseiha. However, the temperatures during that competition were among the coldest in Sasuke history, dipping down in the 30s at points. Do any of you believe that had the weather been at least a little bit warmer during Sasuke 3, Yamada would have achieved Kanzenseiha? After all, I'm pretty sure that it's more difficult to do physical activities like this in colder weather than warmer weather.

Honestly? I don't think so. He did a great job but I think that's about as far as he could go that tournament. Irregardless of weather IMO.

I guess weather only affects some competitors, but I don't know how well Yamada would've done and whether weather would've affected him at all.

Oh really? I didn't know that.
For all of you who don't think weather affect anything HA. I played ultimate frisbee is 30 degree weather last night. I'm usually the MVP, but I sucked hard because of how cold it was.
Wow, I wouldn't be surprised if he had won to be honest, especially if his hands were cold.
Numb fingers = hard rope climbing.
Poor Yamada, got robbed =p

ha ha. Maybe that's true... in any case it's interesting to think and speculate about.

He willingly stripped down to nothing but spandex shorts for the final stage. He doesn't get to have "it was cold" as an excuse whatsoever.

It definitely affected it. I attempted the Cliffhanger last night, without gloves, and my hands froze so quickly that I couldn't move them for like an hour. I have enough strength to make it across and yet could only make it one arms length.
