I for one think it's time to get rid of it. It's only eliminating 2-3 people per tournament, and granted it slows a few people down (including Nagano since he's only 5'3") but it's time to find a new slowdown obstacle. I haven't thought of any ideas yet but I'd certainly like to see them.

In Sasuke 23, I think it was like 27 clears/ 1 Fail. and the only fail was an american who wasnt suposed to be there

There were probably alot of fails there, There were just so many clearing runs they didn't have time to show Soritatsu Kabe fails

Rider's right. Just because they didn't show many fails, it doesn't mean there weren't many. There were probably a whole load of people who timed out on the wall. And besides, even if it does only slow people down, it slows them down enough to stop them clearing. Take Yamada, for instance: if he hadn't taken forever on the Warped Wall, then he might have just (finally) cleared the 1st Stage, even if he did fail the Slider Jump. In addition, it's one of the obstacles that makes SASUKE. It's been a very, very long time since it was established and I think it's going to remain at least a while longer. The soonest I can ever see it being removed would be another Kanzenseiha, but even then I doubt it.

Also dont forget the fatigue factor, 2 or 3 attempts at it really hurts your stamina and slows you down later to.

In Sasuke 23, I think it was like 27 clears/ 1 Fail. and the only fail was an american who wasnt suposed to be there Just because: 1. You didn't know who he was 2. Your favorite ANC/ANW hopeful didn't make it to Japan 3. You assuming every guy who made it was 100% freerunner Doesn't mean Geoff didn't deserve to make it there, he did well, especially since he was a defense attorney (because first glance at profession without looking at him you wouldn't think he'd make it far). Stop being picking and support who made it, other than (still) complaining about who did. And to get back on topic, there's no way Soritatsu Kabe's going. It's as iconic as the Wall Lift (I still think the only reason it was replaced in 18 was because they for some reason couldn't change it's material in time), maybe even more. And before something like the Jump Hang, or Rolling Maruta or even Pipe Slider gets made into a counterargument, those can be easily replaced and have been, SK isn't as easily, notice they brought it back in 19.

And we all know what happened in 19.

If the Warped Wall does go, then what kind of similar obstacle could they even replace it with?

I actually have the answer to this, however I'm saving it for my new course when someone beats my current course. With that said... stay tuned and eventaully you'll see the coolest Soritatsu Kabe replacement ever!

I say, if they want a harder replacement, just make it bigger. The SK now is iconic and while simple, historically has been pretty tough. Interesting note, the original was reported as being 5m tall, and the 19 one and on was 5.2m tall. However, in 23 the announcer said it was 5m tall.
So was it an announcer flub or did they actually change it back?

I think I may have said that wrong. I meant that he was there #7 qualifier. and G4 almost always has 2-4 competitors. SO if it wasn't for the huge amount of people G4 was sending, he wouldn't be there.

If the Warped Wall does go, then what kind of similar obstacle could they even replace it with? My solution is to put a 1 meter gap at the bottom of the curve that you have to jump over each time you try to climb it.

I agree in a way with you Scnoi, but if it gets much taller, it might become too much of a curve for someone to get up to the top; if not, I'd like to see it just slightly taller (5.3 to 5.4 meters?). ;D Or, maybe they could make it similarly to how the Great Wall in your avatar is.

I didn't know Sonic the Hedgehog had plans to compete in Sasuke We all know he could pass that version! But in all seriousness.. The Soritatsu Kabe isn't going anywhere, it's got to be the most iconic Sasuke obstacle.. I mean it's been there since the 5th tournament and only been removed once for pretty much the same thing with a rope. Look at how many T-Shirts and Sasuke events it's been in (even Muscle Park brought the real Soritatsu Kabe there once for an event). Hell.. even G4 knows it's iconic.. look at all the courses they've made (ANC2 finals, ANC4 "Ninja Killer" event and ANW Open tryouts) have had it.

Sure it will stay I agree, but your joke, lame. Well, the Pipe Slider was iconic, but that went away. A slightly upgraded vesrsion would be fine. Oh, cool idea: How about they make the wall really narrow (like 1.5 feet wide) so there's actually a way to fail it (falling off either side).

It's gonna stay from what I can tell. Just as much as the Jump Hang and Rolling Maruta did their fair share of knocking off challengers, the Soritatsu Kabe is gonna be a main stay with it's CONSTANT repeats of denying challengers to advance. From it's introduction, to the change for "Shin Sasuke", it still keeps people at bay from making the possibility of advancing to Stage 2 a slim chance.
