I think unlike all of you that Yamada can beat the stage 1, not in 24 but maybe in 25 because i think that the jumping spider will give him problems but if the no one wins in 24 he will finally have his chance at kanzenseiha

TBS really isn't helping matters though, with talk in 23 of giving the Mr Sasuke title to Nagano, and suggesting that Yamada is basically obsolete...I mean, I think he can still do it, but I doubt he will. That's not TBS david, that's the idiot announcer that a lot of us hate Ya know, the same guy that said all of the all-stars should retire.

I'd like to know where he said that. Where and what specific tournament did he say "the All-Stars should retire"?

I don't remember nor do I want to look through hours of old Sasuke footage to find it.
Maybe my memory is failing me though, I just know that's the same announcer Arsenette has a large beef with.

Well if you don't know where it was said, then all of it is hearsay and not really much to base an opinion about someone on.
I HIGHLY doubt he said anything about how they "should" retire. If anything, it would be "if" they would retire and if I remember correctly, that was Hatsuda (who commentated from 2-21).

He definitely had a good time up to the Warped Wall. If he could have kept up that pace (or even gone slightly slower) for the remaining obstacles, he would have finished in time granted he beat the obstacles on the first try. He still CAN do it. But will he? I doubt it. Jumping Spider fail in 24 unfortunately. Those walls are gonna be ice cold slippery this time of year. Damn was he memorable. I always meant to post asking what happened to him and what his last tournament was, but I didn't realize we lost him so recently. Now Ogasawara, I always liked the guy for his higher shriek opposed to Hatsuda or Sato. Since I can't make sense of what he has actually been saying all these years, his voice only is what works, for me. Since I have a sense of humor, I made him supposedly the voice of who sang in my Space Olympics gimmick. So far as to include arsenette's opinion on him, complete inside joke as to why.

I don't remember the names of the commentators and I don't have all of the tourneys on my computer. Sorry I don't remember every single detail of every tournament.

Just saying, before you call him an idiot announcer and that he said the All-Stars should retire, you should know what he said it about or why he said it.
Who knows, it could be right and he could have said that in SASUKE whatever. But I'd just like to know when and where he said that, and in what context.

No I called him an idiot announcer because he said Mr. Sasuke didn't deserve the title.
I added on that he also said the all-stars should retire. Me calling him an idiot was perfectly justified.

Not if he didn't actually say that.

But he did, David confirmed it. I thought this was common knowledge? The only thing that Scnoi wasn't sure on was the all-star retiring thing, but that's not why I called the announcer an idiot so the whole point is moot. He clearly is talking about "mr. Sasuke" when Nagano clears, and it was because he was saying Nagano deserved the title. Don't tell me you didn't know this... It was in this thread for christs's sake "TBS really isn't helping matters though, with talk in 23 of giving the Mr Sasuke title to Nagano, and suggesting that Yamada is basically obsolete...I mean, I think he can still do it, but I doubt he will. Yeah, I can at least confirm the whole Nagano/Mr. Sasuke thing in 23. And I quote: "Nagano is the real Mr. Sasuke! Nagano is the real Sasuke King!" etc. etc.

The All-Stars retirement was said in 22.. all day Long.. Nagano was getting a little annoyed with it. He even commented on it when he was interviewed just the month afterwards. ramblingrican.blogspot.com/2009/04/makoto-nagano-yodaraji-radio-interview.htmlThe phrase was "is it time for a changing of the guard" where it implied that the All-Stars should step aside and let the next generation in on Sasuke glory. It was deliberate and said ALL DAY LONG.. This was also told to them in interviews. So it was heavy and implied. Some took it as a wake up call... like Nagano who got back in shape and kicked a** in 23.

Nagano and the all stars shut that idiot announcer up in 23 though, especially Nagano he showed once again why he is head and shoulders above the rest of the pack.

The timing and the fact that they did it in front of Yamada was really uncalled for. Everyone knows I'm not much of a Yamada fan but I found it actually in pretty bad taste. There are so many ways to say the exact same thing or even elude to it.. but that wasn't really the time nor place for it. Again this was also the same announcer (to my knowledge.. I may be wrong with that) that kept screaming at the All-stars to step aside and "who came up with that moniker anyway...) crap from 22. Seems like Yamada took it personal while the other guys took it as a challenge to shut him up
