So, I'm getting ready to complete my video and send it out by friday. Figured I'd start a new thread with the info I've gatherd and the couple questions I have to make it easier for everyone applying. Here's what I see on the monster9 site:
"Name, age, occupation and contact address enthusiasm to participate in sports history Writing, please apply to your destination below. "Photo" Please be sure to enclose. ¦ VTR if there is a plus."
This means I just type up my own formatting with name, age, occupation, contact address (include phone number?), and that's it? Is this the letter I've seen people talking about?
So we would send: Paper with information Photo Video (CD, DVD, and/or VHS)
Maybe Send: Letter?
Then send it to: Monster 9 Inc. 18F Shibuya Inforce Tower 20-1 Sakuraoka cho Shibuya, Tokyo 150-0031 "SASUKE Winter 2009" seeking entry clerk

Yeah.
Looking at my video and stuff now, I don't even feel like entering. Dunno. Very unmotivated.

Why do you want to be on Sasuke?
Sports history?
If writing, apply to [address].

Ah, well I wrote a 1 page letter including all of those things. Should I just leave it or should I make it more organized but less formal?

How much does it cost to safely send a package with a DVD in it to Japan? I'd imagine quite a bit...

If you get a flat rate mailing envelope it costs about $9 or $10. I sent Nagano a set of Celtic CDs for his birthday. It cost about $10 to ship it. It may depend a little on weight, though. I sent Shingo and Yamada T-shirts for their birthdays. I used flat rate mailing envelopes, but it only cost about $8 to ship those packages. A DVD wouldn't weigh much, so it probably wouldn't cost that much to ship it. Maybe $7 or $8. That's more than it would cost to ship to some place in America, but it is going overseas after all, so that's not too bad.

G4 isn't doing a trial for 24 as they didn't have time/exhausted their budget for ANW. So many are attempting to send to M9 and hope they realize G4 isn't doing a trial, but I believe will assist in choosing along with M9/TBS (don't quote me on that particular info).

What should be on here definitely is what Baron wrote.
If it were me I'd do a small letter (no more than 1 page) stating why I want to be on Sasuke. Plus information listed below: Name, Age, Address, Phone number, Email, Website(s) if any: FULL Contact information (put phone number.. you never know... remember G4 is also involved so they might be messing with this and don't give them any reason to cut you). For all we know.. G4 is doing the contacting.. we don't know that yet. Occupation (they sometimes cast according to this - if you are a student then write that down) Photo of yourself (unless you are a character or in a costume - pose nice for this - preferably a headshot). Video (any and all formats).

I'm assuming that age doesn't matter if you are sending it directly to TBS? If it doesn't then I should get busy

We don't know.. M9 and TBS are a part of this though.. so I'm hoping it isn't. Send it anyway since you'd never know.

I'm assuming that age doesn't matter if you are sending it directly to TBS? If it doesn't then I should get busy yes but going through TBS means you have to pay for a trip to japan, pay the hotel, for food taxi, etc. So unless you have a good 2,000k saved up atleast you probably shouldn't bother. Just telling you in advance incase you didn't know.

It's over two grand PER PERSON. Better make it, like, five or six..

Not if you buy cheap plane tickets, and I did say ATLEAST 2 grand. I never said that was the ideal amount. You could always sleep in a capsule hotel! Also, why would he need to pay for other people to go? If i go I'm going alone unless someone wants to come with and pay all that money It's not like I'm too young to travel alone.

I thought that you can only enter by going through (*sighs*) G4.... Not me! ^_^ Ah, the joys of being English lol The only things stopping me from sending in an application are my lack of money and lack of Salmon Ladder training. The latter will be fixed by the end of the year, though coming up with over £1000 may take a little longer

Quick question, if I used Nagano's theme, Last Battle, in my entry video how do you think that would go over??
