There have been numerous complaints about the Third Stage now being too easy. How would you like to see it made more difficult for SASUKE 24? Obviously this is not official, and won't have any effect on the new course, but I'm interested to know how people think it could be made more appropriately difficult. I think the Descending Lamp Grasp should be replaced by a "Descending Arm Bike" with no rest between it and the Arm Rings, as in 18. I also think, if possible, they should add another Jumping Bar (or 2), and then replace the Hang Climbing with a steep "Ascending Lamp Grasp". What do YOU think?

Descending Arm Bike = NO. It will not work, and even if it did it would fail epicly. Ascending Lamp Grasp = YES. Although it will tire too many people.

How do you personally think it should be made more difficult then?

Jumping Bars second, maybe?
Like Arm Rings + Jumping Bars, Devil Steps (further apart), Shin Cliffhanger, Descending Globe Grasp + Sending Climber (19-20) + Spider Flip (2.25m jump), 21's "Gliding" Ring

That's a pretty good course. My only qualm with it would be that the Descending Lamp Grasp is too easy...

IDK why people love that defective ring from 21.

Perhaps it's got something to do with the frustration factor? Think about the Pipe Slider - easily the most frustrating obstacle in SASUKE history (at least I think so), but a very popular one!

The difference between the two though is Pipe Slider functioned perfectly, Gliding Ring didn't that time. Personally I'm fine with the technique > strength (for the most part) aspect causes people to actually practice and know the trick to it instead of strong-arm it and get lucky. I won't mind an obstacle switch, but likely nothing's gonna happen.

They need to have the arm rings directly to ascending globe grasp (no rest) and then a descending to ascending devil's steps.

The other-way-round Devil Steps is a cool idea, but looking at where the platform is, you would go into the water before you could begin to ascend lol... Though perhaps getting close to the water would mean you have to lift your legs... I rather like that idea ^_^

arm rings (twice the length, more hurdles and drops body prop, 3M up, 3M across 4M down acending lamp graspa shin shin cliff hanger, 1.2m straight 1M down 12 degrees, 1.77M up 18degrees then the 150cm jump acending bars, 5 jumping bars 5ft apart 30cm up+ arm bars, vertical climb + sending climber (30cm jump to small platform) heartbreaker with the 2.2M jump to the pipe slider (14-17)

Not to be mean, by making obstacles just variations of others is totally lame, and I doubt M9 would ever do that. I.E. replace the ascending climb with an ascending globe grasp? That's just... silly... Not trying to be mean or anything. If any obstacles are taken out, they will be placed with something we've never seen before. The obstacles I want gone MOST though are 1. Arm Rings 2. Final Ring Both incredibly easy, and the first and last obstacle. Maybe they were going for that but considering how easy stage 3 is becoming replacing those 2 obstacles with harder ones would be KILLER. Just think of the arm rings were actually hard, then every obstacles after that would be harder, and by the time you got to the new harder gliding ring obstacles there's only a bat's chance in hell that you could beat it.... and that's how it should be.

Gavo, I wondering if you could please provide a link for me to get to a site like the one where you were able to make those pictures and then post them on here so I can do something similar. I tried this with Paint, but pasting them didn't work for me. And oh yeah, my Sasuke 24 Stage 3: 1. Rumbling Dice 2. Lamp Grasper (straight again/with 20 globes or so instead of 14) 3. Curtain Cling 4. Shin-Cliff Hanger 5. Perpendicular Bars (description in this thread: sasukemaniac.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=754&page=2 (go down to Reply #34 and look at obstacle 6) + 6. Hang Climbing 7. Devil's Swing + 8. Pipe Slider If this was actually put into place, I hope that they'd have fun.

yamfriend use imageshack.us
You make the pictures on ms paint... yes. But you can't simply give us the link to a file on your computer... that doesn't work.
Go to the site provided and there is an option to "upload". So essentially you are taking the file from you computer and putting it on their website, and it gets it's own link.
It'll tell you the link, and then you just post that link on these forums and we'll be able to click on that link and see your image.

And with that said, here's a version of a new Shin-Cliff Hanger that I made:

Why is everyone saying that there is going to be a big change? There probably will be only one if any new stage 3 obstacles. And just face it they are going to keep the last five obstacles exaclty the same. Arm Rings are going to stay because Shingo. Devil Steps are staying because of Miyazaki. So the only obstacle that even has a chance of being replaced in the Lamp Grasper

We're not saying that there would be a change. We're merely suggesting the changes we would like to see that would make the Third Stage a more difficult one.

And the last time 2 people made it to the final besides 17 was like.... 12... And then you have Takeda and Okuyama failing almost at the end, and kongu failing right at the end. The only reason shingo lost was because of his shoulder. Face it, stage 3 has become easy. Nagnao just flew through it, he didn't even look tired like he normally does.

Conc. 3 stage is hard, been hard Circa sasuke 5
