Based on the number of fails and successes in 23 will they still keep the halfpipe attack for 24? Or will they replace it with a new obstacle? What are your thoughts on this?

I think they should replace it with something along the same lines, but harder.
Like, make it a 75 degree angle wall run to a rope, or something.

Bye bye HPA I don't want to see you again for eliminating Akiyama and shingo.

I wonder if they could increase the distance.

Something new they added that I didn't even notice on Keyhole or the standard definition download, there's a stick on the end of the run up that I guess makes you run straight into the wall. I think this would have helped Akiyama a bit since it marks where the run up ends.
But I didn't even see it there on any competitors run until I saw it in high definition.

Yea, they added that for 23.
Personally, I'd like to see it go. It really doesn't eliminate as many people as it used to. I mean, it is about as effective as the Crooked Wall was, if not better but I think it has been in the course a little too long. Something new, different would be nice. A balance bridge of some sort would be cool. Heck, even the Balance Tank would be welcome. Just something new, and something that doesn't take up as much space.

either bring back 19's version w/ the high and short rope, shorten the landing area or boot it. I'd love to see a bridge obstacle if it goes, or as scnoi said, a balance obstacle, havent had to many of those for a while

I think they'll probably keep it. Maybe they'll make it harder, but they're keeping it.

They've made it far too easy, you don't even have to get any height anymore, now all it does it take up a huge amount of space on the course. I imagine they'll keep it but I really hope they don't.

I think it should be kept, but altered. Make the rope shorter so competitors have to gain more height, or make it steeper and place the rope further along.

It's definately one of the largest obstacles we've seen in awhile. I think it'd be really wierd for it to be gone but I'mnot saying I want it to stay or anything. If it's different people like Akiyama may have a better chance, aswell as any females.

Or they could revert it to what they had in 20 when pretty much EVERYONE failed it. (Keywords: Pretty much)
Though if they want a total victory, they won't do that. It'll be weird to see it go, because I actually like the obstacle, but I can see why it should go - it's been around a long time now.

What if they made a quater pipe attack? That's practically what it is right now!! I think it will stay. It's a pretty entertaining obstacle and it still manages to take out or slow down enough competitiors.

I personally think it should go for some new tough obstacle unless they decide to redesign it to make it harder like it was in 20. I mean the rope for it is so close to the ground that Yamada just ran along the landing pad in 23 haha.

I think it should go but be replaced with a obstacle of the same difficulty

Keep. The Halfpipe Attack is a first stage staple IMO.

Honestly it's one of if not my most favorite stage 1 obstacles in shin-sasuke.
Though, stage 2 needs some new obstacles, can't keep the same thing EVERY tournament and since this isn't an "original" it could very well go soon.

I miss the one from 19 and 20 so much, it was rad and the wipe outs had people almost hitting the platform when they'd lose their grip. I remember on the new one when David practically reached downward to grab the rope, that about did it for me and I didn't like the obstacle.
