Am I the only one that uses the Blue version of SMF? I usually see other people use the red standard one.. Also.. any ideas if you guys plan to add more colors?

ive looked @ all the versions, I just prefer the red/black. More pleasing to my eyes. but i believe I remember cheif saying he's using the green version.

I'm using the Basic one. It's easy on the eyes for me. Not a fan of white text or red or any bright colored text on a black background when I have to read a lot of text. Also not so much a fan of a pure white background for text... which is... almost everything else it seems.
For my desktop wallpaper however, then I prefer a dark background. More programs should have an option to change any white backgrounds to some light grey or any shade like most Adobe CS4 programs do.

I use the grey one. I find it more neutral, so it works for me! But I do nonetheless think a wider variety of colour schemes would be an improvement!

Arsenette: I use blue aswell.
The red and black is okay, but ouch it hurts the eyes.

I think there should be some that are actually different. It seems a little lazy that they're all the same, just with different base colors. Another proboards forum I go to has the best skins I've ever seen. Custom logos depending on the skin, too. It's very nice.

I used the green skin from when I first started until sometime last summer when I decided to used the grey one -- aside from green imo its the most visually appealing.

i definitely believe we should have more skins, i'm just not the best with the whole matching color schemes. for all the current skins, i used www.colorcombos.com/ to get the base colors and placed them in the appropriate spots. if you guys want, i will put up the formula sheet and examples and you guys can make some more, then just leave a message here or pm me and ill add them to the list. i personally will not be making any new skins. @ Oti: sorry im not a professional coder and cant write decent enough css to make a difference in appearance. i could always steal other proboards skins and add them, but whats the point of being our own unique site then. theres also only so much you can do with free stuff. if you feel you can write and create a better skin for the site, please, be my guest. (sorry if that sounded arrogant but i truly mean no offense.)

I didn't say write a ton of code. I just said make skins that aren't monochromatic.

What you have is more than enough. That's what I'm trying to explain to you. I've made some proboards skins before and believe me, it's a lot easier to do it here than on TakeForum or Forumcircle.
Like if you wanted to do some cheesy American theme, for example, you'd use red, light gray and blue instead of just one color and it's various brightnesses.

Honestly, I've never even bothered to check out the other color schemes. Besides, I've become accustomed to the default "red and black" scheme that's always on for me.

How about an "Old SASUKE Theme" with more green, and a "Shin-SASUKE Theme" with more red? ^_^
