I know that the timing for Sasuke 24 is rather unusual, and I'm pretty sure there's been a little speculation over this topic. How many more competitions there will be after Sasuke 24? In my opinion, I'd go with either choice #1 or #6 due to the possibility of the "third in the trilogy" Kanzenseiha finally being achieved. If this does happen in 24 (which it might), it would seem like a proper ending to Sasuke, which IMO can't get much harder than it is already. It's probably best to stop then (and by "then", I mean choice #6) instead of having the possible slow demise of this great tournament.

I'm hoping more but I think they will go on until they get a 3rd winner.. after that it's anyone's guess..

I have no clue, but it'll hopefully have many more.

Hopefully later than sooner, but when the inevitable happens, I like Ube's idea of starting over with an entirely different show but still has the Sasuke format, just not called it.

I don't think they will stop after a third victory. I could honestly see this show going for 4 or 5 more years or even more.
Remember, Banzuke would probably be still going strong if it hadn't been for the accident. Sasuke is a winning formula that really doesn't go stale.

Well if they bring back the exact same competitors, it wouldn't matter, they would still beat it again, or it would be like 18.

Or it would be significantly different, like a mix between Wipeout, DOORS, and the Sasuke Trials... with a Quick Muscle round somewhere in the middle to give Yamada hope~
It could remain the "spiritual successor" to Sasuke but be very different than Sasuke.
That said, I don't see Sasuke dying out for several years. The show is still pulling in passable ratings, and the recent increase of the number of actual competitors is a good move to avoid the awfulness of the 19th and 20th tournaments.

Sasuke will end when Yamada wins.
(ie; never)

I hope it runs a few more yet, when Nagano wins in 24 I want to see how the designers can push the bar yet again in terms of evolving the course and moving the difficulty up much further but still possible when the competitors get their standards up for it. Look how they stepped their game up for the (RED) shin era I'd love to see how much further they can take it.

If no one wins in 24, 25 will be the last. There will probably be a win somewhere in the next two tournaments.

I'm just speculating.
But yes, I could definitely see the 25th Anniversary Tournament as being the last.

I think he meant the 25th tournament, but I like your idea better.

I thought the anniversary tournaments happen on the 10th of every tournament. Like 10th competition or the 20th competition. So wouldn't it be like a 30th competition, or 40th and so on.

I meant it was the 25th similar to how SASUKE 20's official name was 新SASUKE2008春 第20回記念大会 (literally Shin-Sasuke 2008 Spring 20th Anniversary Tournament).

I could see it end by 25, or someone beating a course for a third and final time.
