The only thing able to give him a problem at the moment is a malfunction! He is just too good, and that's why the course needs to be made more difficult... unless, of course, M9 are wanting a Kanzenseiha...

I personally think metal spin is most likely to go Nah, Metal Spin will probably stick around for a while still IMO. Not only has it eliminated and/or troubled competitors throughout its time as an obstacle in the Second Stage (including more recently with Hiromichi Sato in 22 and Lee Enchi in 23), but it was one of the few obstacles on the course that stayed following Nagano's Kanzenseiha...if it can last that, it surely won't be removed for no reason in 24.

I agree. For me it's an obstacle that will cause a real problem, since my pulled muscle from weeks ago is actually a returning injury, and hanging off a chain in that position HURTS lol It's actually a deceptively difficult obstacle.

Overall difficulty will remain the same well then why the hell did they want a 100 fail before? It's enough to say that this was part of Sasuke history but the fact that it was only 2 years ago... I mean, it's not like the ratings for 19 were VASTLY worse than 18. Until then however I can't make a conclusion here... hm... How many people would it take to get me the ratings for 18 and 19? Where would I go? The overall storyline of the series has changed greatly since then. The objective and theme of those tournaments were "OMG, lets see how hard we can make this course." Since then, its changed. Now, it is more like, "See how well people can do on a really hard course". However, the results of the last tournament always has some effect on the next tournament. 18 had great ratings because people wanted to see the new course after Nagano's win. 19 had good ratings because 18 attracted some more viewers. However, while 19 was cool to watch because that amount of failure was unprecedented, it was definitely a ratings killer for future tournaments. The results of 19 and 20 turned into ratings killers for 20 and 21 (the 1st and 3rd lowest rated tournaments in history). Plus, while I'd like to see the course a bit harder, I would definitely not want to see another 19 or 20. The feeling that 23 had where literally anyone could make it was exciting and 23 was easily the most enjoyable Shin-SASUKE tournament for me.

I agree. That extra atmosphere of excitement and uncertainty greatly added to my enjoyment of 23 over other shin-SASUKEs. However, 16 people making it through the first stage is too much, IMO. It is entertaining to see the course made more possible, but they need to work on the balance of ratings and difficulty; we don't want to see multiple Kanzenseiha in 24... well... at least I don't. It would ruin some of the magic of it for me.

Really, really hoping they finally ditch the Half Pipe Attack, but the Curtain Slider is probably most likely to go, and one or two of the first three Third Stage obstacles.

I'd sooner pick the steps than the Curtain Slider, but maybe they'll both go away. I think it'd be kinda cool if they used the Butterfly Wall again, but they probably won't think of it.
As for Stage 3, I think the descending globes should go too - face it, the obstacle was harder when it was straight-on - but I'm not sure what they could think of.

If they get rid of the 12 steps, maybe they can bring back the prism tilt, or back-to-back prism tilts, that'd be crazy.
