After SASUKE 23, women are 0/4 on it, none of the attempts coming close to clearing. What aspect of the obstacle do you think is giving the ladies the most trouble on? Also, if it is in 24, do you think a woman will clear it?

I would really like to see a woman clear the Halfpipe Attack and possibly even the rest of Stage 1, but in reality, I have no clue as to if any female competitors will clear it...at least in the next tournament. Also, I'm pretty sure it is more than a coincidence. After all, I wouldn't be surprised if the preceding Jumping Spider drained much of the energy out of them, like it does to a good amount of other competitors. Hey, they're doing better than I can!

.. None of them listened to Nagano's advice? I think someone will clear it but it won't be for a while.. not sure if in 24 or not.

I dont think after the preceeding obstacles they dont have the energy and strength left to complete it. If they do, then they are not using the right technique. Probably a combination of both. And I think if Komiya competes again, she will get to the warped wall. But unless we get a tall women on the show, or one with a great vertical then i dont see any women getting by the wall

.. None of them listened to Nagano's advice? He's never been the best at training girls for the course.. Kunoichi 5 he trained his sister on the Trampoline.. Fails HasoTobi (G4 name: Hop Rocket). (KUNOICHI 8 SPOILER AHEAD!) He trained his wife to walk on a rolling cylinder.. Fails EnchuNori (G4 called it Barrel Roll)

I think they just don't have the grip strength to jump and hold onto a rope like that.
I wish one of them would beat it, though.

The thing with the Halfpipe Attack is that too many competitors jump for the rope instead of just grabbing on to it. That jump results in an unneccesary jolt that usually sends weaker competitors into the water.

Having done running rope things when I was younger (much younger) I know we have the strength to hang on. I think they just try to grab it at the wrong angle.

That jump results in an unneccesary jolt that usually sends weaker competitors into the water. If you don't jump there's a higher risk of slipping on the wall, especially when you're looking at the rope and not your feet. You used to have to jump when the rope was much higher.

It's the technique for sure. If they can beat the log grip then can beat the HPA.
Maybe it's not even the technique, more like they underestimate the difficulty of it, so they go into thinking "oh it's just a rope, I just gotta grab it oh shiii..."

"We"? Not all women have vice-hands like you, Arsenette. It doesn't matter how they do it. They should train their grip more anyway. How do they ever hope to beat the Metal Spin without it? Beating the Log Grip is irrelevant to this as the Log Grip uses mostly the chest and hip muscles, where as the Half-pipe Attack's rope uses only the hands. I think they should just train their grip more. There's no reason a girl can't have crazy-strong hands like a guy does. On that note, does anyone watch the girls' training videos (the snippets before their runs) and think to themselves, "that's all they've been doing?" There's, like, jogging, jumping and a little bit of rock climbing, or something. Do none of them just squat?

In my opinion it's a coincidence. I'll clear it, anyway Because WE CAN DO THAT TOO! MWAHHAHHAHHAHHAAA!

It's a multiple combination of things as far as the HPA is concerned. It's one thing when it comes to the Jumping Spider, but another when dealing with the HPA as far as having the speed and angle to hit it.
