Here are some pros and cons IMO about Sasuke 23: Pros: 1. Kenji and Shingo finally passed Stage 1 again!!! 2. They got rid of the relatively easy Swing Ladder and replaced it with something a lot better---the Unstable Bridge!!! 3. 16 people passed Stage 1 altogether---pretty good for a Shin-Sasuke I'd say (most in a while)!!! 4. The Monkey returned (even if he did fail pretty early on the Jumping Spider---oh well, at least I learned that he's not a spider monkey ;D )!!! 5. First Sasuke tournament I saw (much better than Ninja Warrior IMO now that I think about it---great music and drama---they should air it like this in the U.S., save with subtitles)!!! 6. Very good tournament---probably one of the best so far!!! 7. Nagano returned to the Final Stage!!! 8. Some pretty funny early failures (i.e. that one guy who ripped off his shirt thought he would get decently far and ended up falling on like the first step )!!! 9. 7 made it to Stage 3 and 2 of them made it the Final Stage (Kanno and Nagano, obviously)!!! 10. Nagano was given another chance on Stage 1 after the SJ malfunction...and he ended up redeeming his 22 Stage 1 loss in the process!!! Cons: 1. Yamada failed Stage 1...again!!! 2. Yuuji had an IMO embarrassing failure on the Unstable Bridge...he probably could've gone all the way to the Final Stage again!!! 3. Mr. Octopus didn't achieve total victory (or even clear the first obstacle)!!! 4. Takeda was so close to reaching the Final Stage...and was denied this AGAIN!!! 5. Nagano missed another Kanzenseiha by just moments!!! 6. Stage 3 wasn't modified at all!!! 7. Poor Yamamoto...finally makes it back to Stage 3 and dislocates his shoulder on the very first obstacle!!! 8. Kenji was ever-so close to getting to the Final Stage (curse you, final gap! )!!! 9. Shensuke still didn't come back!!! 10. All of the STQs failed the Salmon Ladder...what a shame!!! 11. Lee Enchi was once again brought down by Stage 2!!! 12. No Kanzenseiha!!! 13. I wasn't invited !!! Anyone else have anything to contribute?

Stage Three was modified a little. Spider Flip now has walls to prevent a Kanno DQ.

Stage Three was modified a little. Spider Flip now has walls to prevent a Kanno DQ. No, that's not what it's for, That frame is still exposed. Look at 21 and look how Nagano puts his foot through the frame to stay on during his rest, and look how in 22 Urushihara uses the side frames to put his feet on to climb up and to climb down. THAT'S what the new design is for (that and it looks cooler) EDIT:

Honestly, and this is probably because I'm just a bad person (schadenfreude ftw), but Yuuji and Lee failing Stage 2, the STQs all failing the Salmon Ladder (that was actually hilarious, especially the two that failed the bottom rung), Takeda failing Stage 3 for the 12th time, Kenji failing the final gap, Nagano and Kanno failing the Final Stage are all in the "pros" section in my books. It's the fails that I watch Sasuke for, and it's the fails that make Sasuke what it is. Admittedly Yamada and Shingo's fails this time around made me kinda go "aww..." because they were really kinda sad/unfortunate, but...

sadist...LOL joking. I watched sasuke looking for failures until the jump hang was fired. Mostly, I agree with yamfriend, but I kinda expected a distraction fail from Yuuji, dunno why. It's not a con for me, not only because I don' really like him very much (sorry, can't help it), but because this way he avoided the danger of becoming cocky and being subject to more failures of this kind. I hope this for his sake.

I'll express my Pros and Cons on it now Pros Two reach the final stage, and one nearly wins Kanno and Yuuji proved they weren't flukes Rie cleared the Jumping Spider!!!!! Three Americans passed Stage 1 Old Obstacles like the Sextuple Steps and Swing Ladder finally said goodbye Pleanty of variety competitor wise very balanced all around Cons Two STQ's make it to stage two adding more confusion to the ever growing list of Sasuke Competitors Rie failed the Half Pipe Attack Sixteen people cleared, way to many and caused stage 1 to be rushed Didn't seem to have the same dramaticism as 22 Some people weren't even mentioned due to the high amount of clears Ten Americans is way to many, half of which were unknown and unprepared for the experience Curtain Slider seemed a little boring, and easier than the Circle Hammer Stage 3 remained unchanged (as far as new obstacles go) Final Stage shorten to 40 seconds, swiping kanzenseiha out of Nagano's grasp For me the Cons outweigh the Pros, good tournament but i still think 22 was better

Noone has mentioned Jordan Jovtchev's return. I was impressed with this run but disapointed that he timed out so close to the end. Pretty good run for a tough first stage...

I know its your opinions and that's great, but I don't get when people are rooting AGAINST competitors. Like your happy for people not winning or failing. I know we all have our favorites (and least favorites) but cmon, the point of SASUKE is to root for everyone and to be happy for people if they do well. I mean, I could see it if the guy/gal doing well was a cocky know it all (see Levi in 21), although even he isn't that bad anymore. The point is, we should root for everyone, unless they deserve not to. People like Nagano, Yamada, and Levi (*in 23*) don't really. What about if I said (not that I believe these things): Pros: Shingo's shoulder Takuya Kawahara timing out (because he's so slow )

Scnoi beat me to it, i root for everyone, like em or not. Actually I can't really name a competitor I HATE, or even dislike... Even when everyone was pissed at Levi I just kinda shrugged it off.

Why are people hating on Nagano can you not take it your favorites are never gonna win so hate on Nagano coz hes done it and will most likiely do it again? Grow up he deserved a 2nd go at stage 1 as what happened was NOT his fault and the obstacle error literally made it impossible to pass so there had to be a re run.

Accually he was my favorite until he won and I dont want him to win because he already won. The ones i want to win are, well of course Kawahara but reasonable ones Kanno, Takahashi, Takeda, or Urushihara

Nagano Takeda and Yuuji with some rope climbing improvement are really the only 3 who could beat stage 4 at the moment realistically.

You can root for the underdogs, but don't hate Nagano because he is the best. Period.
