Did they call him a legend thru out his run? or is that just me?

I dunno, I'll have to rewatch it.
If so, it makes sense. It takes a huge pair to keep failing like he does, but keep returning all the time.

IMO, Yamada was a legend...now, he's just an All-Star in name only. No offense to those big Yamada fans out there. ;D What? I just don't expect to see him beat Stage 1 again...after all, the course is extremely hard and has passed his prime...hey, it's been like 10 tournaments since he last cleared Stage 1!!!

Yeah, they were. Paraphrased: "Will Yamada finally be able to pass stage 1, or will he remain only a legend?" (repeated multiple times throughout his run)

Yeah, that is pretty mean. I heard "rejendo" being repeated multiple times, and I wasn't sure what was being said. Now I know. Ouch. I mean, yes he's past his prime (about 10 SASUKEs past it), but it would make me extremely happy to see him beat the First Stage again. Just like the old days.

Win what? The "worst All-Star" award?

Win what? The "worst All-Star" award? Now cmon, Yamada is just past his prime. and has major mental demons. I think, however, getting to the slider jump is only good for him mentally.

Win what? The "worst All-Star" award? It's okay to joke about Yamada, but seriously that was mean. What has RC ever won? Biggest a*****e forum member award? Oh wait.

Aw, poor Yamada. No respect. I still think he can do it. He'll achieve kanzen seiha.

Yeah. He may be past his prime (most likely... yeah, he is), but I think he could still get far into stage three if he could focus.
I would actually give the worst all-star award to Akiyama. Not sure why...

I would actually give the worst all-star award to Akiyama. Not sure why... I'd probably have to agree with you there, Oti. As for why, I'd say because he's had the fewest Stage 1 clears of any of the All-Stars, which doesn't seem to make him very consistent. Just my opinion.

I would attribute that more to his multiple recurring limb injuries and failing eyesight than his physical ability. So many unfortunate cases in the All-Stars... Akiyama's vision, Yamamoto's shoulder, Yamada in general...

Yeah, that too. Just I'm not entirely sure what's wrong with him tot the extent that he can almost never compete. But yes, he can be added to the list too. It would seem that, out of the All-Stars, only Takeda and Nagano are healthy. A huge shame.

I actually think Shingo is in the best shape out of any of them. It's just a shame that his shoulder happened to dislocate AGAIN.

I'd personally say Nagano's in the best shape, no competition lol Shingo's probably second or third, I'd imagine. I mean, he does the least training out of any of them lol

I was about to say that it's also because Shingo is the youngest among the non-retired team...then I had a doubt and checked. He's actually one year old than Takeda. Doesn't this sound strange? To me it does, maybe because Shingo = funny, Takeda = FOR THE HOTN...charmi...ok, hot.
