This is small indicator, but still worth noting.
Here's the breakdown of how my videos have been viewed since the airing of Sasuke 23 by country: The numbers on the right represent the % of views vs the total.
US: Sasuke Clear Theme 12 Levi Meeuwenberg's Theme ( ƒŠ[ƒ”ƒ@ƒCEƒ~ƒ…[ƒGƒ“ƒo[ƒO ) 11 Shingo Yamamoto's Theme ( ŽR–{ iŒå ) 10 Makoto Nagano's Theme ( ’·–ì ½ ) 8.6
Japan: Katsumi Yamada's Theme ( ŽR“c ŽŒÈ ) 17 Makoto Nagano's Theme ( ’·–ì ½ ) 12 Shingo Yamamoto's Theme ( ŽR–{ iŒå ) 12 Toshihiro Takeda's Theme ( ’|“c •q_ ) 10 Kazuhiko Akiyama's Theme ( HŽR ˜a•F ) 6.8 Sasuke Clear Theme 6.4 Final Stage Theme 5.0 Yuuji Urushihara's Theme ( Ž½Œ´ —TŽ¡ ) 4.9 Levi Meeuwenberg's Theme ( ƒŠ[ƒ”ƒ@ƒCEƒ~ƒ…[ƒGƒ“ƒo[ƒO ) 4.3
So this means that 1/9 people from the US look at the Levi theme, while only 1/24 from Japan does.
Yamada did almost the exact opposite, only getting 5% in the US or 1/20 vs 17% in Japan or 1/6
Small, but telling, what do you all think?

I don't think themes represent popularity, so this data... um... "thing" (list?) is not so relevant or useful.
I imagine he's more popular in America because he's American and he's a free runner, and millions of people have joined the free running band wagon. Out of those who didn't, myself included, tons probably like him just because he's American and he's representing us over there.
Likewise, just as we have ignorant people who think American = good person, I imagine some Japanese people DON'T like him, simply because he's American and he does tricks on the course and their Japanese obstacle course isn't a place for that.
In my mind, I like to think Japanese people are more evolved than that, but I'm sure there's at least a few out there.

Honestly, I'm from the U.S.A. and Levi ticks me off sometimes when he does those flips and stuff!
