Well, you also said you're squatting, so... Compared to what? Your old shoes? If that's the case, I'd blame it on less weight. I like long jumping barefooted, personally.

To be honest, jumping is the thing I need to work on the least anyway. Precision and long jumping is part of my regular parkour workout anyway (as too, to an extent, is plyometrics). My arm still hasn't fully healed, which is frustrating. I guess it just needs some more time though. I can be patient ^_^ well... for a little while longer anyway

If your arm is really so hurt, you wouldn't be able to jump around anyway. You might as well work on it along with other things. Just because you don't think you need to work on it, I'm sure you do. Unless, of course, you have a 40" vertical..?

Scope, there is always room for improvement. You have a 1M vertical? go for a 1.03M vertical you run a 3min KM? go for a 2.45KM your 100M is 12.12? go for 11.5 ect... Also maybe get a massage or see a doctor. Possibly both?
Oti, yes compared to my basketball shoes and my running shoes. If i do a 40min ploys season w. bball shoes my ankles r fine. With my Brooks, ankles r fine. Vibrams... hurt midway thru. idk culd just be me.

Is 10.5 really an Olympic pace..? EDIT: Looked it up. It used to be, but not anymore. I need to get under, like, 9 seconds.

Well, my arm is now healed anyway ^_^ I did some cliff-hanger training yesterday, and the pain was gone. I also found I was more profficient at it than one week ago, just before I pulled said muscle. So a week without any training benefited my performance. Not something I was expecting, but very welcome nonetheless. Thank you for these training tips. I'll practice more sprinting and jumping regardless of my ability, but for now my focus is going to remain more on my upper body, as that's what needs the most work (not that I'm not doing lower body or core work, or sprinting or jumping etc.).
I think I get the reference; if I'm right one need only change one letter of Oti?
