Well thanks to SASUKE 23, we know the identities of most of the ANW winners and how they did:
1. Levi Meeuwenberg (Clear, 3rd Stage) 2. Brian Orosco (Clear, 2nd Stage) 3. 4. 5. Richard King (Clear, 2nd Stage) 6. Caine Sinclair (Rope Ladder Time Up) 7. Jeff Iida (Warped Wall Time Up) 8. Shane Daniels (Tarzan Rope Time Up) 9. Jupe Katana (Slider Jump Time Up) 10. Rick Feruga (Slider Jump Time Up)
Based on other shots as well (Nagano's first fail for example), I can see that Travis Furlanic was there, so he was either #3 or #4. I don't know who the other guy was or what he looks like if he was shown.
My question though: Most of these guys were freerunners. The three that cleared had plenty of time left, and Caine was incredibly close to clearing as well. However, for the others, they timed out way before the finish. Why is that? The only obstacle I could think that would severely cut down their time would be the Warped Wall. But if most of the guys shown timing out were freerunners, wouldn't that be the one obstacle they should have no trouble with? What do you think?

To my knowledge half of the Freerunners hadn't even heard of the show.. knowledge of the course is key if you are going to beat it the first time.. IMO.

Traction and Stamina is everything.
I think these guys could, but who knows how good the grip was on their shoes or how gassed these guys got to that point. (I suspect Freerunners would have good cardio, but who knows which obstacle can take it out of you.)

Maybe the new guys just weren't used to the pacing of the course.
With exception to the two unknown results, it seems everyone made it as least past the HPA. Despite that, the quality of Americans (even if most of them are freerunners) was actually pretty good this time around. I think David Campbell inspired everyone with his run last time. I really wanna see how everyone did getting through the Jumping Spider, whether they cleared it smoothly, or they didn't have much grip as they tried to go through the walls, which could've been a large factor in their time.

I doubt most free runners or traceurs have that great of cardio because a majority of them don't run paths, they only practice movements and/or tricks. The ones who do run paths probably have great cardio, though, and as much as I don't like him, I believe Levi is one of them.

There's a difference between a tricker and a traceur. I won't even call trickers traceurs.
There were a couple of snide stuck up a*****es at the CO APEX Parkour Jam. The organizers were calling for warmups and practice, and the "snobby cool kids" in the back were making snide remarks about the redundancy and what not. Happened every single day I was there.
You know, (figurative you here, just FYI I'm not talking about you or anyone else I know on this board), you're free to do whatever you want to do. That's how new things happen. But don't be a snarky asshat to other people who are trying to take the advice of folks who want to give it.
Some people's bodies are more tuned to just go for it, even some people whose bodies are, still wholeheartedly in warming up.

To my knowledge half of the Freerunners hadn't even heard of the show... I really hope that's not true. If so I wish G4 would send people who deserve it and that it means something to. All these freerunners that win and go and are like "Yeah dude lets do this thing, I can totally win it" drive me mental. If they sent like David, Strat, BlackieChan, UncleSam, Ultimask8er, Levi, Brian, Luci, Probs Oti when he's old enough, and...someone else I've no doubt missed, it'd be much more entertaining than people who don't even like/know the show. The All-Stars aren't likeable because they clear no problem every time, it's because they're people you genuinely want to see do well...Kinda like that list above ^^

To my knowledge half of the Freerunners hadn't even heard of the show... I really hope that's not true. Unfortunately, it is. Now I don't think it was half, but I do know at least one of them had never even heard of the show until after he had won his ticket. From there, I don't know if more were the same way.

How can you be competing in a multi-day course and not know what the show is until after you've won...? How is that evne possible? Isn't that like.. what everyone is talking about? What the announcers are saying? Did someone just tell him, hey we are competing on a 3 day obstacle course for a prize. Then he just goes and wins without ever hearing the name of the show throughout those 3 days. That's pretty bad honestly...

Well, to be fair, do we actually know if any of them even got drunk that night? I've made a fair share of jokes about it, but I joke about everything! lol. We know the hosts got drunk, but maybe the 10 didn't.

So, I've reviewed every piece of footage I could find with American's running, and I can only pick out nine guys from all of it. I'm wondering if all ten ran, or maybe someone got injured too soon for an alternate to be called in...

No, there were reports that SASUKE 23 had 104/105 people run, mainly because of ANW. That's why most don't have any number.

LOL Sometimes less than 100 and sometimes more. The painful reality of inviting people and sometimes they all show up or some don't show up.
