I was finally cheering for him and I ACTUALLY thought he could beat stage one... then he failed an obstacle he has a replica of.
Ugh.

He has a replica of the Slider Jump? Or do you mean his constant Warped Wall fails? If he would've caught the wall on his first attempt he may have beaten stage 1, apparently his ankle was messing with him after his first fail on the wall. Dude is old, he's falling apart He seems to be having a lot of ankle problems, which I assumed he'd have. (That or knee problems) Hm... maybe next time Yamada. I know a lot of people hate him, but you gotta feel sorry for the guy. I'm not sure what the announcer was saying, but after Nagano beat stage 1 was he saying something along the lines of "Yamada hasn't beaten stage 1 in forever, YOU'RE Mr. Sasuke nagano" that's sort of... mean.

My stomach actually fell when I saw how nervous he was.. I mean.. he looked like he was going to throw up something big time. No fancy posing.. nothing.. like a friggin' funeral. On top of that... before the jumping spider he literally prayed.. never seen that happen.. Just sucks his legs just stopped at the wall and it made him slow down. Though at least he can say he tried the Slider Jump so that might actually help him the next time around since he can say he had experience with it.

I know I don't "hate him".. He's just an easy target when he gets cocky and does his drama queen antics (which are really really annoying).. this time he had it totally toned down and he actually cheered for people. As for the quote. I believe the quote was calling Nagano the KING of Sasuke in contrast to Mr. Sasuke being Katsumi.

Poor Yamada, he's the only all-star that didn't make it. I ACTUALLY thought he would pass after the halfpipe and was surprised to him fail.

Yamada did better here than in 21, very nice. I know since everyone else did so amazingly well that it makes making it to the slider jump seem like no accomplishment, but it is a step forward for Meesta Sasuke. If he had done that well in 22 it would have looked better on his resume. For the record, I didn't know Yamada could do back flips, lol. Can someone remind me how much time he had while going down the slider?
I thought he and Nagano were tied... boy was I wrong...
I realize Yamada didnt stay this time because he was alone, he was the only one of the four guys to not be able to attempt stage 2 and 3 so I guess he went home.

For some reason the bloody Warped Wall always gives him trouble. I am happy that he went as far as he did, though.

I mean the Warped Wall fails. Honestly, it looked like after he failed the first jump for the top, his concentration was broken and he turned back into the Yamada we all... well, pity.

I was impressed with his run. He showed great speed up until the wall, and then it did look like his concentration broke a bit. Maybe he doesn't have the stamina anymore. It was certainly a big improvement, though.

I agree with him, Mr. Sasuke impressed me made it all the way to slider jump, lets see what happens next tournament, I think he is on his last legs.

I was a bit annoyed that they spoiled his run in the Navi. They didn't even edit the sound, and you could hear his name right at the end, as well as the buzzer going off, so I had a pretty good idea beforehand of what his run would be like.

Can someone remind me how much time he had while going down the slider? Like 5 seconds or around that

Personally, I like Mr. Sasuke. I think he shows great dedication to keep coming back despite al the setbacks he's had on the course, and it saddens me that the Warped Wall messed him up yet again. At least, he got to attempt the Slider Jump.

I think had he made it up in one attempt and failed the Slider Jump with some tme left, it would have looked a lot better. But he still did great for his age. I think he'll clear it one of these days.

But he still did great for his age. You make it sound like he's on the same level as Mr. Octopus or something...

I don't think his age is an issue. He proved that he's still fast and powerful for his age.

Seems like he has a reocurrin ankle injury... though it shouldn't affect him on much obstacle outside of the warped wall... it's obviously done damage to 2 of his runs. He needs to keep that confidence of his, he did make it a bit further this time, so I hope he just realizes he is capable. You're Mr. Sasuke for christs sake, get your head in the game.

My bad, Yamada DID stay for the 3rd stage and probably the 2nd. He's seen behind Yuuji talking to someone about the Cliffhanger after Kanno cleared it. Brief as anything so it's obvious it wasn't noticed on keyhole.

I watched it streaming from unclesam and I didn't see him. Eh, I don't pay attention. I just assumed he went home since he was the only all-star to fail stage one. Bad me, bad.

I just remembered... did I read that right? In chat someone translated his stage 1 interview and he said he was going to retire after 24.
