Dude, that's awesome, that playground has turf. But it depends Rider, how close together are the sets of swings? If they're too far apart the transfer will be nigh impossible. The length of mine is too far to jump like competitors did this time, and too far to just reach. And the problem with the swings is you can't replicate the spinning motion of the second board, it's only supported by 2 wires so it tilts, however the swings won't tilt like that. Not turf but more like rubber or something. And they're about bent arms distance apart, And I'd think them being farther apart is good so I can practice the technique for the jump. and they're the kind of swings mounted by the chains holding onto the triangle things so it might tilt a bit, and the swings would still move sideways too. Next time I go I'll remember to get pics XD

I think it's classic.
It's an incredibly simple obstacle for them to build, and for fans to build, yet it's quite difficult.
Props to everybody for it. For those who beat it, and those who designed it.

It's good, but I think the time limit is what really makes it tough.

It's good, but I think the time limit is what really makes it tough. I still have mixed feeling about the time. While some did cut it close (like should all 2nd stage runs in my opinion), there were a couple of "breeze bys" that I think took away from the suspense. Still, this is where the second stage should have been a LONG time ago-(like 20 or 21)

The time limit is fine, I thought Shingo had a pretty good pace and he barely made it.
Like this, you are allowed to screw up on the salmon ladder and recover, but you'll have to haul a** to pass.
And if you get a perfect run, you come out with about 20 seconds left (as you should, that's how it's always been, people in stage 1 were passing with more than 20 seconds)

I think it was ok. My girlfriend said she thinks they're starting to run out of ideas. I have the opposite opinion. I think that making an obstacle with that level of simplicity of design that works so appropriately is very impressive, and it shows they have plenty of ideas floating around.

I like this obstacle its a time waster and its difficult, if you do not screw up, you are screwed the rest of the way, love the stage two time cut as well.

While it is a hard obstacle, yet so simple, the time limit cut should get a fair amount a credit. 70 seconds makes them go faster, which can cause them to be rash and fail, but go too slow and fail for being too cautious. 80 was way too lenient and Brian, Rich and Yuuji would've passed with like 10-15 seconds assuming they breeze through Wall Lifting (not that they didn't deserve to move on just saying they did waste plenty of time on it). Not trying to criticize the obstacle or even take away it's credit, as it did what it was supposed to do, take people out, and waste time which it did either or all at once.
Hopefully they change the color for 24 though, plain-colored wood is so bleh (ironic since Downhill Jump and Wall Lifting are the same). Maybe paint it black or gray/grey, however you spell it.

I'm sure the sucker will have like racing stripes or something.. seems like this was a last minute addition judging by the simple quality of the obstacle. Even seeing Navi it seems they tried a few different things. One of the obstacles shown there wasn't even on the course.
Personally I liked it. Glad they didn't bring the swing ladder or the Skywalk back.

There was another obstacle? I only noticed Jyun/Juindantobi, Curtain Slider and Unstable Bridge. And who knows what they'll use to spruce up the obstacle, Spider Flip looked more professional with the design covers.

They had the planks from the Unstable Bridge, except you had to run over them instead of hang from them.

In 19, they had that awesome flame, but in every other tournament, they took it out for some reason.

LOL!
how could they make unstable bridge look better anyway? painting wouldn't do, they can't add elements because it would alter the difficulty...

To be honest, I could tell the Swing Ladder was something they were going to change, and I think they did it quite well. The Unstable Bridge is a nice, tricky, time-wasting little obstacle. Perfect for Stage 2.

Well since I can't post this in the training forum, heres my unstable bridge training setup Only thing is that, can those things swing sideways? If they can't then that would be the equivalent of the jumping bars except with 2 swings.

I threw the first one over a bit weirdly to make it more stable than the second (although I should have taken the pic from the other side to show the weird angled one is first)
