That would make sense if he was there. Can you check that poster's history and if they made any other comments? There was nothing on Okuyama or competitor #95 on the JET broadcast. If he did compete, TBS completely cut out everything. I guess the only wayto know is contact TBS, someone who attended, or Okuyama himself.

I checked the Wiki but I could only find three references to Okuyama, one about his 'ranking' in 20, one was a short profile with no mention of 21, and one was a bit under the explanation of the Stick Slider.
The profile: "Yoshiyuki Okuyama ('91 played one World 200m running track and field team) SASUKE, said the Olympics for me. SASUKE to concentrate on the job, and the 37-year-old played 20 times. 7.31 seconds left, 1st cleared one of those people who said. In a high tempo in the 2nd SAMONRADA clear, but during the transition to stick to the slider bar, tilted and fell off the track (saddlecloth 1924)."
Maybe it was inaccurate information that was deleted. Who knows. It's hell trying to get through the Japanese discussion/history pages on Wiki.

Yes very true Obakemono, I read his article before it got removed or whatever and it said that his sasuke 21 run was cut in full but he wore #95. so can't put it up as there is nothing to go by.

I checked the broadcast again, unfortunately there are no good shots of the starting area before Wakky's run (#94) or any idications of what just happened before Yamada's run (#96). It's annoying because before Wakky's run, they showed Iketani (#93) in the water up on the big screen, but before Yamada's it was just the Sasuke logo.
EDIT: Just checked, the edit is actually at the top of the history page (Oct 18th for reference). No explanation as to why it was removed.

This is immensely frustrating...we have no easy way of actually verifying this. You know, I found it really strange how they would cut someone as late as 95, especially if it was Okuyama. Maybe he's the new Shinji Kobayashi.

I would have loved to have seen his run, especially if he was #95. Definitely more than some of the Muscle Musical members or people in the beginning. I would of thought they would have shown him, if he was there. That does suck that he was cut.
I also wonder about Yuji Washimi. It was confirmed he was there, yet his run was cut entirely. If I had to guess, I would say he was #89, right before Dante's run. However, I have no clear way of proving it as the video before Dante's run shows only someone beating the Jumping Spider, but really nothing else.

Rumor has it (i.e. Japanese wiki) has it that Takahashi was #85. I dunno how long that's going to last on the wiki, though. It seems like this was edited in by a different person, a person who deleted Okuyama's info after yet another person put it back up.

I know people mentioned that Kobayashi was 79, but he got cut again, right? No way of knowing where he failed now?

Not really. You can see that his blue uniform is wet...which eliminates that he timed out or got caught up on the Warped Wall...but not much else...

Yea, it points to him but in no way proves him as #89. I re-watched from the Kenji Takahashi digest to Takeda's run and I couldn't find anything. The version I had is good quality but not good enough to find other people. Looking behind people (when they are getting interviewed) only had me find people we knew were there (Daisuke Miyazaki's teammates, ANC guys/gals) or unknown people I've never seen before.

I know for sure that Kobayashi competed as he was talking to Bunpei right before his run. And I know Takahashi fell on the JS. But I have no idea if Washimi or Okuyama competed. If they did, I assume that #89 and #95 would be good guesses. Why would TBS cut their footage though? Strange...

They've been given the Kobayashi treatment, which means "cut them completely unless they pass stage one". I would've liked to see them much more so than random Muscle Musical guys, but I guess Muscle Musical is Monster9's brainchild, so...

Yes, that's true. They are going to promote their own programs. BUt Okuyama and Washimi have been two of ony a handful of competitors to reach stage 2 in the last few events, so why cut their footage? Who knows what TBS is thinking...

TBS could be thinking that "Hey, these two guys got the bulk of the airtime in 19 and 20 but they didn't do anything this time around so let's spend time on the other competitors."

yeah TBS is thinking that and thats why they're getting lower ratings
