It doesn't mean anything Lars.
In Sasuke 19 Takuya Kawahara timed out on the rope ladder, but his run was cut completely, not even in a fast-forward.
They probably just cut him for time constraints.
i actually think it's a greater chance he got cut for getting far since it wold've taken more time to show his run.

And I forgot - did Lance Tarvend, the South African teacher, make it in? How far did he get? (I can assume not very if he didn't go to the second stage, obviously.)

Well not making to stage 2 doesn't really mena he didn't get far, he could have made it to the Flying Chute or Final Climb (Those are both Hypothetical BTW)

Per this week's SASUKE Maniac: Olivia Munn was number 27. Momomi Yoshino was number 34. There were two other female participants who weren't wearing numbers (neither was the member of Moeyan): Seimiya Yuumi 清宮佑美 failed the Sextuple Steps Onoue Aya 尾上彩 failed the Pole Maze Dante timed out on the Spider Walk. Urushihara Yuuji was 72 and fell on the Flying Chute. No name guy numbered 78 failed the Sextuple Steps. Musician Maeda Ke 前田けゑ failed the Log Grip I updated my list: lostinube.blogspot.com/2008/09/sasuke-21-2008-fall-competitor-and.html

Maybe, just maybe, 78's name is Kiritori Seijiro but I'm not 100 percent sure on the family name.

Ok, I'll add that name even though your not 100% on it, at least it's better than nothing. I also added people that were confirmed to be there, but weren't shown.

Oh yeah, I know that now, but I was guessing that before we knew for sure, I just didn't want to post unless I was 100% and couldn't SS it for proof. I could now, I saw the Mania too but it was clear enough for anyone to see.

You got most of it right, although you only got part of 20's name
I remember that guy from 18 and 19, his full name is Torisawa Katsuhide (For the record thats in the japanese order)

Thanks alphabater for pointing that out, I didn't catch that. #82 was definitely one of Daisuke Miyazaki's handball teammates, plus one that made it that far and was wearing red was shown in digest after Brian's run. His name is Izuma Masakatsu (he also failed the Half-Pipe Attack in 20). So putting 2+2 together, he was the one wearing #82.

Can anyone else help with getting slightly more obscure info? Like watching Dante's run, just to see who possibly could be #89, or looking behind the main scene in a shot to see someone's number. We've figured out plenty so far but I think there might be more hidden information in the TBS broadcast.

Breaking news: Okuyama was 95. I have no proof except for the Japanese wiki, but there it is.

That would make sense if he was there. Can you check that poster's history and if they made any other comments?
