It was truly worth every second that I watched. My man-hero Nagano had me filling the empty corridors of my house with raging yells of glory of pride.
Levi's run was cool. It didn't seem all that arrogant. He was just havin fun!
Overall I was happily suprised on how good SASUKE is compared to Ninja warrior. Sasuke treats it like a tournament instead of some late night game show.

Missed the first 40 minutes as I thought the tourney was starting an hour later than it did. Came in at Miyagi's run. And his teacher went further than he did. I do think it's time for Yamada to hang it up if he's that fatigued by the time he gets to the wall.
I find it ironic that everyone thought Luci was going to fail on the Log Grip, yet it was Mark who went there.
I honestly didn't think Bryan was going to make it. .3 seconds is dang close.
I thought Sato's attitude was funny. He was kinda cocky til after he fell. Then he seemed to get it and showed alot of respect towards those who surpassed him.
Overall, best Sasuke since 17.

Great Sasuke, but I am VERY disappointed with the "gliding ring" at the end of stage 3... It did NOT glide, in fact, Nagano had to hop/bounce that thing to move, it's MUCH harder than the pipe slider... Also, when he got to the end of the rail, it looked like he was trying to hop the ring higher!? Is there some sort of hook like on the salmon ladder with the final ring? Because there is NO WAY anyone could make the swing/jump from where the final ring ends to the mat... In fact, the final ring looked LOWER than the final mat?!?!? I think there must be something else that needs to be done to the ring once you reach the end of the rail... Thoughts?

I have the utmost respect for Yamada. However, this tournament, he really looked beat up. The supportive tape looked like it was holding him in one piece, and he is getting injured and fatigued not even half way through the 1st stage. Its a shame, but he wants to continue after an epic fail like that, all the power to him.
I think there was some little nobs that he had to pounce over on the gliding ring. I was supprised at how much he had to struggle. But then again, that may be how it was supposed to be.

When they show it on G4, I can probably say what's supposed to happen, but until then, not really sure.
I'm amazed that once again, after this tournament, it's still 50/50 between the Salmon Ladder and the challengers.

Amazing tournament. Simply amazing. I loved every minute of it. From the 9 people making it to the 2nd Stage, to the mass failure on the 2nd Stage, to the great ending to the 3rd Stage, it was a fantastic show.
Apparently, the Final Ring or whatever you want to call it, didn't work as it's supposed to. There was a place at the end of the Final Ring where the ring locks in and then it will let you swing freely. However, Nagano kept getting caught on something there and the obstacle didn't work how it was intended.

Yeah the final ring looked a bit weird. BTW madmonso, you ARE allowed to post spoilers here, just not on the topic names, as far as i know... Btw a funny thing i did for laughs was to copypaste our chat into word to see how long it was: 164 pages and 53k words, and i missed some because i got kicked out when i spammed when Brian made it to stage 2

I guess you understand Japanese and they said something about it? It looked like he was getting caught up on something, but I still don't see how you can swing from there to the mat, it's just TOOOOOOOOOOO far away and the mat is the same height as the ring base... I think they should have given Nagano another chance since the obstacle didn't work properly... I'm still amazed he was able to do the jumping bars+ascending climb+jumping spider... The transition from the ascending climb to the jumping spider was BRUTAL... I am in awe that Nagano was able to do it! Sucks he got gipped at the end with a broken gliding ring. (I am calling it the gliding ring because that's what the announcers called it)

Oh come on, a spoiler already. Read the ground rules man. This is the spoiler sub-forum. It's okay in here. Great tournament. I wouldn't say best ever, but it was great watching it live. It sucks about Mark. He just got nervous, and the log set off before he was properly on it. Luci had a good showing, but she could've done even better. Shingo had a ridiculously fast time, I can't believe he got hung up on the Flying Chute like that. I'm impressed Yamada cleared the Half Pipe Attack after injuring his foot like that. It looked like a bad one, much worse than Brett's in 20. He could barely walk. Levi and Nagano both had different but equally impressive masterclasses of the first stage. They didn't show many joke runs. Hang-glider, sculptor and octupus all got cut. In fact, I didn't even see octopus at all. I suppose they had a lot to get through, and the new course means the runs are longer. Nakata's attempt at the Salmon Ladder was painful to watch. He had a great first stage run, though. They changed the Salmon Ladder a bit. Looks like weights on the end to keep it from falling off the Stick Slider, but making it a bit heavier. Very impressed with Miyazaki. I didn't think he'd beat the first stage. Takeda and Nagano were exceptional. The Gliding Ring looks completely impossible though. I seriously don't know if you can make that jump without a sliding momentum. Maybe it didn't work as intended?

my fave tournament of them all, every obstacle was seen in action except the final stage which I still belive I know what it is and wont say im wrong till proven otherwise lol. Lots of great moments some shocks, Miayazaki's great run, Nagano clearing all the 3rd stage only to lose on the final ring was heartbreaking. But was pleased as hell to see everything in action. My biggest highlight though has to be Takeda clearing the SHC the first man to do it I was clapping and felt I was with him there. Amazing, and I won £20 for my bet somene would clear SCH. I suspect in 22 though some changes in st 1 are coming.

Great tournament, and was nice chatting with people (that I never talked with before lol). Wakky was reacting funny to about everything lol ^^, while I didn't really like what Levi did in 1st stage (just my opinion). Could record until Takeda's 3rd stage run before stupid bro beggan downloading even seeying I was stream watching I'm glad 9 people passed 1st stage, and as a handballer that Miyazaki made it to 3rd, even if we could see that he wasn't used to sasuke obstacles at this point. The end of stage 3 was great, even though the creators kinda push the difficulty ... REALLy hard. Never saw the ring and thought that the supra arm pain was over, thinking it would go down and that the jump would be the problem, but not... Since i'm french, no G4 version for me (well it will maybe air in france in like 1-2 years?) so next time will be for #22 I guess. Cya around

i loved this tournament. probably my favourite, but probably because its my first one to see not on G4. i accidentally clicked out of chat and it was full, so that was a downer i couldnt see everyones reactions to stage 3. i did however enjoy chatting with new people in the secondary chat very much i was so sad about shingo, i was looking forward to him on the salmon ladder. gliding ring was pretty frusturating to watch, i know he had to be fatigued, and it didnt help the obstacle was obviously effing up. that gap at the end looked completely impossible. third stage was diabolical, had my heart pouding the whole time. i wish takeda could have made it further. i liked the tweaks to the salmon ladder/pipe slider. it was nice that iketani and bunpei were back. would have been nice to see olivia and kevin compete, but i know theyll have more than enough footage in november. not much to say about the american ninja challengers. it seemed like i was the minority when it came to being more intrigued with the japanese challengers more than our americans. i didnt watch the try-out videos a billion times so maybe i didnt feel close to mark. i was disappointed when luci was even sent over there, so i didnt care about her. i was pleasantly surprised to see brian win. i like levi but was so disappointed he lost on the salmon ladder when he made such a great show last time. his first stage run was amazing though (if not a bit over the top) nagano, as always, showed an impressive spirit of support for all the competitors, and it's always a joy to see his interaction with everyone. it was a great experience getting 2 hours of sleep and watching my first tbs tourney with a lot of other like minded individuals. unfortunately, i have 8 straight hours of work to look forward to. this is nototheyes btw on aim EDIT: SRW oh its a gigantic ladder for sure. yamada had inside information ;D jk jk

Hey guys, back from getting 40 minutes of sleep!
So, well, amazing tournament. Nagano and Takeda pwned as usual (bit unfortunate that the Gliding Ring acted up, but it would've been extremely difficult anyway, with a 1 meter gap), Bunpei was awesome in the 1st, Shingo...well, was good until the Flying Chute, and even Yamada did very well for having injured his food coming out of the Jumping Spider like that. He's regained some respect in my eyes.
I was impressed with Miyazaki, having thought he was a total poster-boy, and kind of surprised at the massive failure in Stage 2, to be honest. Felt sad for the ANC people, but hey, that's Sasuke. All 8 of the Sasuke preliminary people didn't make it either. I did feel vindicated that Stage 2 had regained its reputation, though.
Stage 3 in general: Insane. After Takeda failed the Hang Climber, I had no idea how it was possible, but somehow Nagano did it, and made it to the end of the Final Ring. My heart was beating so fast from Takeda on, it was so nerve-wracking.
Didn't expect to see Final Stage, but still I hoped to be pleasantly surprised. Oh well, next time, then.

Hey all I thought it was great well worth taking the day off work !!
Was really pleased 9 beat stage 1 felt bad for yamada but was very happy brian made it through. Nearly shouted the house down on bunpeis run .I liked levi's run and the fact that he had the fastest time on stage 1 was even more amazing. I also liked the fact that all the qualifiers had back to back runs thought it was a nice touch
Slightly disappointed that bunpei and levi didn't make it past stage 2 levi espicallyas he is capable of owning stage 2.
Most post salready describe how I was feeling on stage 3 heart in mouth from start to finish espically nagano's run so glad that cliff hanger was cleared but I have a feeling that the hang climb will claim more competitors in coming competitions shame about the final ring if its true that it malfunctioned even if it works diffrently to how we saw that gap is absolutly massive and I imagine the ring is harder to grip than the pipe from the pipe slider

My thoughts about Yamada's run: I think the food did not break at the jumping spider, but it was a bit broken already before the tournament, and just got worse at the JS. I got that thought when I noticed Yamada did not go fullspeed: he took his time on many obstacles, so maybe he knew he couldnt get over the warped wall with that leg. I was surprised he got past the halfpipe attack without almost any speed I hope he makes it next time, in my eyes he certainly got what it takes...

My reactions, it was a pretty good tournament...Here is my reaction
Yes I had be up at 5am in the morning, just to see from my campus at 6am, anyways here is my two cents
First ten or so people shown today, as usual got wiped out, I am surprised that octopus man and the world's fatest gut chonsou have not shown in the footage, maybe g4 has that.
Kenjiro Ishimaru for 54 years old, was a amazing performance to watch, even though he failed in flying chute, still very impressive for his age, as well.
Of course, I was not surprised the Kevin, Olivia and Mark did not make it, but I was surprised that Kevin did not show in the japanese version, it has to definately be shown in the us g4 version, he one their workers, its got to be shown. Hell all of their representatives should be shown.
Then the taiwanese representative Lee Yen Chi was the first to qualify, with a good time with 4 seconds remaining.
Then my next impression was Shingo Yamamoto, who improved but also dissapointed me, by failing flying chute, next tournament he passes stage 1.
When Brian Orosco, I was very happy and he did it with a half-second to spare, it reminded of akiyama, when he crossed with no time left in stage 1 in a past tournament.
The next who passed was Bunpei Shiratori, but looked spent or his back messed up or something, but very impressive. And what a comeback run, by daisuke nakata, after his injuries and car accident years ago when he passed stage 1, I thought he was going to be a force later on.
After Tomohiro Matsunaga, passed, the last four impressed me one by one, miyazaki was consistent and did well, then takeda dominated stage 1 liked always, and then Levi, was great, with some fun and cockiness along the way, but dominant and very impressive, and I thought, nagano vs. levi, will be fun to watch. And Nagano, of course did his job... and passed as well. Overall, very good stage 1, 9 people passed and makes for an intresting stage 2, oh I forget about Yamada, Mr.Sasuke, lived up to his billing, by toughing out stage 1, by competing injured that is some serious guts...
Then in Stage 2, I was thinking I was thinking that 5 people, should get into stage 3... I was thinking Nakata,Levi, Miyazaki, Takeda and Nagano should made it. I was impressed with the list an Japanese athlete, a taiwanese athlete, a olympian just coming from Beijing, two americans, a japanese unknown, and ninja warrior veteran, and two all-stars.
The first one Lee Yen Chi, impressed me but was too slow, and timed out, but could be a force in major tournaments.
And Brian, messed up at the salmon ladder, but he deserved to be this far.
Bunpei messed up the jump, which was messed up, just like nagano the tourney before.
And Daisuke Nakata, when he went in stage two, messed up his arms or wrist badly, I hope for the best from him and I hope its not long-term, my prayers is on him., he could have made stage 3 at least, if he would not fell.
After Masunaga fell, Daisuke Miyazaki, did well and lived to his billing by going to stage 3, and Takeda went back to stage 3, for the first time since the 17th tournament., when he eliminated in heartbreaking fashion in the pipe slider.
Then Levi, fell down which I was very dissappointed, but he said that it felt different, I do not blame him, and he should be back, he was very impressive in both tournaments he entered, if g4 does not invite him, tbs should he could be a force for a long time, especially if shunsuke nagasaki comes back and nagano at the level he's in, competed against each other, that would great tv, the japanese new hope and future all-star, versus americas top gun and the grand champion, I see levi a future all-star, if he continues to do well.
Back to the tourney, then Nagano dominated again and cruised and went to the third stage, like it always happens.
In the third stage, it was entertaining and fun to watch, I felt bad for Takeda, who was the first to pass the new cliffhanger, but fell on the ascending climb, I could see him pass this a get to the final stage finally. Time will tell
The competitior before Daisuke Miyazaki, did OK, but was spent from the first two stages but did well.
And then it was Nagano, who impressed me, and went all the way to the final ring, but felt like more of the pipe slider, and did not glide at all, and improperly did the obstacle, he will learn from it, and pass the stage and be in the final stage, but please fix the obstacle to actually make it glide.
As for tournament, it was worth my four hours, and early morning wake-up call, I could see someone in the final stage, I see takeda vs. nagano in the final stage. Also, did you know they put 23m, in the final stage tower, are they trying to make exactly 50ft. I do not know, but great tournament, I could wait to march or in January, when the Kunoichi tournament, is going on.
PS: Luci, should also be in the Kunoichi tournament, if g4 makes a female ninja challenge.
Well that is it, if anyone has a copy or torrent link, pm me please
Laterz, richie137
