Straight up Poll and question, Will Total Victory be achieved in SASUKE 23?
If yes then Who? (If you think its someone new like one of Yuujis clan or a qualifier or something then just say someone new).

I don't think so. It'll still be a while yet. And I was slightly thrown off by the thread title at first - I thought you were saying someone achieved it! Until I realized, they hadn't held the tournament yet.

Depends on many factors....who competes, will they change the course, etc... I'd put my $$ on Nagano though.

Well just going on the course being more or less the same just really stage 2 is going to be the big change factor if there is any!
So lets say Barring any major stage 2/3 design.
We all expect something with stage 2 Ie less time or a new obstacle Major meaning they changed half of it or something.

I think Sasuke 23 will end on the third stage.

I don't think it will end on the third stage. Here's why:
I think too many people are failing too early in the third stage for them to change any of the obstacles- 7 out of 12 third stage runs have ended before the half-way mark. If Nagano or Urushihara or even Kanno or Takeda reach the third stage, I could easily see a clear.
But for each of the competitiors above, it all depends on the First Stage.

I see, but I should mention that if that happens it won't necessarily derive from being a very enjoyable competition. There's always tons of surprises (the good and the bad) you're not expecting, be it wipeouts, close calls, injuries or funny moments. Yeah, it'll be good, I don't need a kanzenseiha for it to be a classic

No but its nice to have a finalist I mean the show really needs them at the moment! From a TV point of view.
I'm still pining for a Nagano Yuuji final. Seems when there are finalists its usually in bunches IE sasuke 7-8 11-13 I know 17 was once but two people got there, now we have Yuujis attempt and 23 will hopefully follow tradition.
I should answer my own Q really while im at it, I think it is really close to call but I just feel if Nagano does get there this time I just cannot based on the 45 sec time see him messing it up his speed on the rope etc it should be job done. (Same could be said for Yuuji if he has really improved his rope climbing skill) but Nagano is the safe choce.

According to my calculations, kanzenseiha will be achieved by Urushihara in SASUKE 57.

According to my calculations, kanzenseiha will be achieved by Urushihara in SASUKE 57. That would be in 12 years when Yuuji is 43. I somehow doubt that will happen.

I think we'll have more than one person get to the final stage this time, but I can't say if we'll have a total victory. I recently finished a recreation of the final stage and set it up under an 80 foot bridge....it's f***ing exhausting! I was surprised at how tired I was halfway into the rope section!

I think Nagano or Yuuji have a chance, and that at least one American will, maybe more.

I believe that 3-4 Americans(if it is 10) will clear Stage 1. Since I think there will be changes in stage 2, maximum of 2 Americans clear stage 2.
New hero once again will be LMS(last man standing).
