I've managed to get it running a couple of times, but it keeps freezing up. And every time I get it running it shows the same thing; some program about a swimmer. And it's taking forever to buffer.

Right Now (4:37 central time), no Japanese channels are working. There seems to be more down time than working time

Going to check it now (again it will change by the weekend) to see which one has the correct feed.

That happens when no one is live streaming, the program repeats and buffers take awhile, best bet is to wait late night to get something new.

I see a few of the feeds but they are different than what should be showing. KeyHole is the one that shows what's supposed to be on (though the picture sucks and gets worse the more people are on it). Right now this second they are doing morning news and have the time in bold red on the top left corner of the screen. 6:45 am.

Best bet would be closer to the weekend and specifically around the timeframe. For example when you wake up in the morning. Maybe Live Station will start up again and we know Freshverse works well for those who managed to get it up and running. I know I'll just stick to TV Ants since the last time it worked well during the time I needed it. I just checked other channels and it's working just fine but the streamers showing TBS haven't started up their signals yet.
Btw.. you are using cable or higher.. not dialup correct? Because Dialup will cause massive issues and could explain a lot.

Dumb question: Where can you download the language packs (i.e. how do you get rid of the squares?) Thanks.

That's a windows thing. I had to get install them from my windows disk. Half the time I want to toss Windows out a window. Simply put, I won't bother.

It's actually quite simple to put it on.. Just annoying that anything past ME didn't automatically install language support when you installed windows.. I kept going "wtf.. why are there boxes here?" then it dawned on me that it wasn't there. Wasn't in the windows update either (used to be an option in older OS's). Oh well.. I managed to get it installed and it works pretty good now.

TBS on TVAnts is back on NTV. All the channels were down for quite a while, but came back up around 2pm JST, which is the start time of the Navi.

Isn't it also Silver week in Japan? So I suspect with it being a holiday week (ending on Thursday I believe) that streamers will be a bit spotty at the early part of the week. SO long as it's there on Friday and then on Sunday I'm good

There's another option, although I have to credit Nova with finding this one. There's a paysite called www.nippontv.biz which offers a free one day trial of their service. I believe www.tvjapan.us offers the same service but I couldn't find it on their site. We can't really test this beforehand, so it would have to be a last resort.
