Yes, well.. it usually isn't that long for me, but as long as the channel is running properly afterwards, its all good.

It takes ages for me too, although maybe not quite that long.

The loading time has gotten faster for me- about 2 minutes now.
Just so everyone knows, JAPAN>NTV is not TBS. It looks like it's "NNN" (which could be NTV??)
However, seeing as it changes all the time, I guess there's nothing to worry about now.

There are two Japan>NTV's. The one that says 'Nippon Television Network Corporation' under Author is actually NTV. I don't know what the other one is at the moment.

NNN refers to the Nippon News Network, a group name for the affiliates that carry NTV.

I downloaded TVAnts and I'm trying to get it working. I downloaded some proxies, but when I bring up TVAnts, it still doesn't show any channels. How do I get it to work?

TVants seemed to work fine for me yesterday. I watched a soccer match last night and the quality and reception were good.

Changed it in the first post but didn't mention it, TBS changed again. It's TV ASAHI now. Tiger, check to see if Tvants is reaching the internet, it could be a firewall or vista security issue.

I tried disabling my firewall, but it still didn't work. When it brings up the window, it doesn't start showing the channel. Even when I copy and paste the link directly from here it doesn't show the channel. It shows some picture with Japanese symbols.

Hmm.. are you physically typing in the search window? It's like a TV after all .. it won't show you the last channel you had unless you found it first. Initial start up always is like this. After you found the channel and you previewed it it then remembers the last channel you watched.

Yesterday I managed to get it to play the channel, but when I closed it and came back later, it wouldn't play it. It just brought up the picture with Japanese writing on it. Sometimes I can get it to work, but when I do get it to work, I'm not sure exactly what I did, so I can't get it to work later.

Right now this very second TBS is down for the evening. It should start broadcasting again in an hour from now. (They shut down from around 2 am to around 5 am their time) So later when you log in tonight see if it works now.

I downloaded TVAnts and I'm trying to get it working. I downloaded some proxies, but when I bring up TVAnts, it still doesn't show any channels. How do I get it to work? It's a bit temperamental sometimes. Have you tried it without a proxy? Once you manage to find the channel, from the channel list or from the direct link, it usually takes quite a while to connect. It should come up with a picture advert while it's loading. There are a couple of things you can check to see if it's doing anything. Under the 'Channels' tab in TVAnts, there should be a column that says Connections. When you first open the channel it should be at 0/0/1. If the numbers start increasing, that means it's doing something. Once the first one (ie. x in x/y/z) goes above 0, that means it's connected and buffering. Also, go to the Events tab at the far right. If at any point it says 'Connected to' in blue, that's a good sign.
