Is there going to be a Kunoichi 8? If there is, it would be around this time.

Well, Kunoichi 8 may not happen by the end of 2008, but it will probably occur in around December or January, trust me, if your anything like me the wait feels everlasting.

Well its not impossible for Kunoichi to get canceled. I mean think of what could happen A: Not enough ratings B: Not enough women want to compete C: Not enough money for 3 tournaments a year.

Rider, where in the world do you get three tournaments a year Kunoichi only happens once a year, unless your refering to 2 Sasukes and 1 Kunoichi, but I really doubt Kunoichi would get cancelled, even though the commercial dilemma has been put to bed for the moment.

Maybe because The Queen won't compete.

My guess is that. The exodus of a few key people (from Muscle Musical back in March, 2008) including the 3 time champion might be throwing a wrench in it. Dunno.. I have no clue I'm just speculating.

Straticus over at the G4 board said that Makoto Nagano said that there wouldn't be a KUNOICHI this year. That doesn't rule out the possibility of a KUNOICHI during the next TV special period during New Years. Although the ratings tanked the last time they did that.

Well, if they double up and go for two Kunoichis in 2009, then wouldn't that mean that there'd only be one Sasuke tournament in '09? Just wondering, I'm not sure.

That definitly takes money.

Once again, we will get some results from Miyake when/if she replys, she hasn't been on the internet since 9-17(or at least her blog) so it's still in the dark when that reply comes. With the money issue, if they are losing/ not making enough money, they should start making competitors pay a SMALL fee, maybe that could help compensate, when you include the trial competitors, and actual competitors, however if they charged to much some people might not be able to enter so idk.

I don't think requiring a fee for competitors will help finances at all. This is a multi-million dollar operation, so unless they charge something ridiculous, it won't help.
I'm curious as to the ratings for Kunoichi 7. It's only going to get worse with Ayako gone (assuming she's not coming back). Seeing how SASUKE's popularity may be waning a bit, there may be some cutbacks.
Oh what the hell, I'll be optimistic. 2 Kunoichi's in 09 :-).

Kunoichi 7's rating was a 12.7%. To put that in perspective, Kunoichi 6 was a 14.9%, Sasuke 20 was a 14.4% and Sasuke 21 was a 12.2% rating.

My guess why the ratings dropped from 6 to 7, was in 6 their were no big competitors(except Miyake, and at the time Tanaka was still kinda on the dl), and easy 1st and 2nd stage. B/c of those things I believe the ratings in 7 dropped, however 7 proved to bring all those things back except a winner. Kunoichi ratings better than Sasuke....honestly I think that's scary.(keep in mind however that Sasuke has been around longer so its ratings are just going through a natural process)
