I read once or twice that Nagano Makoto had some health problems before Sasuke 20 and now I found a picture of him in a hospital bed. Obviously he's fine now, but I have one simple question:
wtf happened to him?

I remember watching a video where someone asked him that question.
All he did was hold his hand over his stomach and said that he is much better now. Must've been a stomach problem.

I remember he said that is wasn't something serious, but something that could be helped with a better diet. That's all we'll ever know about it.

Straticus from the G4 boards (and sometimes here when the goofball remembers  ) recorded the first Q&A session he had while in Florida last year. Around :46 of this particular section he addresses it. He's intensely private about a few things and you can see him squirm about what it was he was hospitalized for. I know we here in the USA are a lot more impersonal about things but some things in Japan are just not talked about. Health is one issue. So he skirts it saying he was there for something that was corrected and he's doing fine. |

ok, well the important thing is that he's fine. I'm kinda feeling sorry for being so curious...I've no right to know his personal facts after all. Simply when I saw that picture of him ling in that hospital bed I was scared. He looked really bad!

Hey I'm of Latin descent.. we pry.. LOL!!!!  Ehem.. no worries. It's just something that's so natural for us to ask.. we find it being concerned by literally asking so we can empathize with the situation. Apparently it's not the same way culturally in Japan. Something I learned through the process (when I asked as well ). Long story short he is doing better but goofball still doesn't eat right I doubt we'll see him in another hospital bed anytime soon but it did screw him up big time for Sasuke 20. |

And you know, vasectomies can still not take.
Until we get proof, I'm going with ulcer. It's the most common stomach condition.

My post was meant as a joke.
That said, by the time I finished typing it out, I started considering it. I didn't go and check when Kaiou was born, but I was thinking it was 1 1/2 months after Sasuke 22 and Nagano's hospitalization was right before Sasuke 21. That would have put his hospitalization about 1 1/2 months after his wife got pregnant.
As Oti mentioned, vasectomies are most commonly outpatient, so it seems unlikely. However, that leaves the possibility that he scheduled an outpatient vasectomy believing it wouldn't interfere with Sasuke 21, and it's also possible that he bled a bit more than expected and that he was kept overnight to receive blood and observation.
In the end, that crackpot theory, though possible given the limited information we have, was indeed meant as a joke.

I know that Obvious  I would have figured that the reason he gave and wanting privacy would have been enough for some people instead of spreading rumors that he had an ulcer (I know the vasectomy was a joke and if MY joke was in poor taste then I'm sorry for that.. though it was quite obvious). Almost wish at this point I didn't know because in one hand by trying to quell the rumors (you have no idea the theories I've been told as to what happened) I come off as a know it all.. and if I didn't say anything I'd be perpetuating the rumors when I could have stopped them. I wish more people would just accept his answer and move instead of having to come up with outlandish diseases and surgeries. |
