Since there is a thread about Akiyama there should be one about yamada.
In stage two the downhill jump and time are the only problems imo for yamada. In stage three the first probably be the shin cliff hanger. Then after that the Gliding Ring might stop him but except for that he would complete the entire thing.

Koji can go far in stage 3 and if he passed the cliff hanger who knows Katsumi won't pass stage 1 in a million years lol

-_- Its hard trying to understand sarcasm in typing. Meaning you "can't" be talking about Katsumi Yamada (Mr. Sasuke) because he will never pass stage 1 While Koji if he came back would get back to stage 3

I still love the Irony of 22 though where MISTER SASUKE is stood and cannot even barely manage a smile watching a guy who he brushed off like dirt making stages1 2 3 look easy and climbing mount midoriyama on the shin course when he (Yamada) has not been there in over 12 years lol. And not passed stage 1 in like what 6 yrs?
I'd loved to have seen his face had Yuuji managed to bang the button!

Why waste a thread on this topic when there's a greater chanc eof you being struck by lightning than Yamada passing stage 1.

Yes...there's only a limited amount of threads and you wasted it on HIM?!?! jk...
I'll entertain this like this actually has a shot of happening.
In Stage 2, the Downhill Jump will be a weakness for him. He'll beat the Salmon Ladder. The Metal Spin might take him down as he's never faced it.
In Stage 3, he'll probably be able to make it to the Shin-Cliffhanger. But let's be honest after that. If he managed to beat the SCH, he would be nearly dead with exhaustion. Does anyone honestly think that Yamada will be able to hold himself up for a minute without break while he tries to complete 3 obstacles he's never faced? I don't, so I think he would fail there.

Well Yamada's always trained religiously for the third stage in particular, I can't really see him not having practised the SCH to death. You don't need third stage experience to pass the stage, of course it helps, but if you have the ability then it's probably the easiest stage to just go out and do with few complications. Whether he has the endurance or not is something we can't possibly know, but it's certainly not out of the question.
Actually, I could see him failing the Spider Flip...

Katsumi: Ain't happening. Seems like he needs the cardio as well, or for some vicious dog to chase behind him in Stage 1 to get his a** moving.
Koji: Man, I wish. He'd probably fail the Salmon Ladder again though since concepts like inertia and momentum don't register. (See Sasuke 16's Devil Swing and Sasuke 19's Slamon Ladder).

Or maybe there's a chance he'll make it to the Gliding Ring in Stage 3. jump to the platform, and....get screwed over by his right leg yet again. Just sayin'.

The farthest that I could see him getting in stage 1 is to the SLider Jump. That would be fantastic for him if he could get that far...
