There are a lot of random Japanese blogs about cats, or with loads of pictures of cats.

Great find. Ahh...that's Muscle Musical member Oono Aichi. He was in 19 and 20 and failed the Jumping Spider both times.

The first link didn't participate. They were there to support Nanami Tsukamoto.
Satomi Kohei has been on Sportsman No. 1 several times before.

The second link is to Yokoyama Go's brother. He didn't appear himself but was there with his brother. If he had competed though, he would have completed the whole thing. According to him anyway.

Yay! I was hoping Kanno was there. K so Mori didn't make it through the trials but was still there to cheer him on. Whoot!

That Ryoma guy updated with this: blog.livedoor.jp/ryoma1024/archives/956954.htmlCan't really make head or tail of the Google translation, but it seems like he didn't do very well. Looks like he was #48, so they're giving the trial people the same numbers as before. Maybe. Well, in 21, they were all in the 40's, and in 22, they were split between 40's and 70's. (edit: Just noticed, the ones who were in the 70's were the ones that had competed before)

C & P from the blog: According to TV Life テレビライフ for 9/19 to 10/2 the following should be appearing: Comedians Wakky ワッキー Takeshi Nadagi なだぎ武 Hoshan ほっしゃん Someone from the duo Savanna サバンナ. Also former Japan National Team soccer player Takashi Fukunishi 福西崇史. As well as former MMA fighter Genki Sudo 須藤元気. The magazine also mentions a 北京五輪体操跳馬金メダリスト - the gold medal winner in the vault at the Beijing Olympics. Since I'm pretty sure that the woman's winner probably won't show up being from North Korea, I'm assuming that they mean Leszek Blanik of Poland レゼク・ブラニク. lostinube.blogspot.com/2009/09/sasuke-23-possible-competitors.html

Oh wow, it's been a while since we've seen Sudo - since 12, I think?

Okay that was epic. Also the first announcer sounds very much like one of the ones on Sasuke.
