Akiyama almost cleared that. And Nagano, I remembered that he got a 9.78 on the Bio Clock(9.5-10.5 allowed) and went on to Final Viking.

Yeah that English version was the one that I saw a long time ago so when Sasuke came around I thought it was the same show.. LOL I hated hated the announcer.. much prefer the original one since they didn't edit the previous stages.

Was about to make another thread but then thought it wasn't worth it. I was wondering...what would have changed if he actually achieved "Kanzenseiha" (ionno if it was called like that there) in Viking? Perhaps it would have lasted longer? Maybe there would have been even more Sasuke competitors competing in Viking, and vice versa, something like that. What do you think?

They did change the First Stage a tad after Nagano made it to the final.
Added in a new Parley and the Island Escape in Marine Stage. The Color Fusion and I think the Tactical Parley in the Adventure Stage. The Fantasy Stage made you do both the Ultimate Plank and the Steady Voyager instead of choosing one. And it added in the Hawkeye.
Pretty big of a renewal for Viking.

Well there were only 6 tournaments total I believe. I like the show and wished it was back though it's expensive to do it in Tokyo Harbor like they did for those shows.

No, but there is a picture of it somewhere. Where is Rider when you need him?

Actually there were 7 in total. 3 regular, 2 celebrity, and 2 family versions. Yes, out of the regular though, there were only two "true" tournaments. The first regular Viking was an 80 competitor celebrity tournament. Nagano making the final was in Viking 2 and him failing the Parley was in Viking 3.

I watched VIKING 2 and was heartbroken to see Makoto Nagano fail. He's the strongest man in SASUKE, so it was unthinkable that HE of all people might lose his strength. Yet, he did. However, the Final Viking was a killer - Final SASUKE is a piece of cake in comparison...so I believe there's no one who could achieve that much. I was lucky enough to see Nagano first in SASUKE 16, SASUKE 17, SASUKE 11 and SASUKE 12 (exactly that order and by the time I watched VIKING I already knew who he was and was very much his fan. Watching him in VIKING was priceless. He proved his greatness (as if I ever doubted it )
