Unfortunately, he failed the Jumping Spider in 18 so he might run into that problem again if he comes back. Well if I recall correctly, he did jump high enough to get in between the Jumping Spider's walls. So if he can just get his footing on the walls, he may be able to clear it.

When he went out in 17 on the Arm Rings, I felt really bad for him but he earned my respect too. Now that he's back again, my respect for him has just shot up even more. This guy has got fighting spirit. I'm looking forward to seeing him take on the course again.

The latter He did have surgery but his injuries were very severe. He's just friggin bull headed and in great shape so he's adapted to his arms not being.. quite right. I love his ethic!

Great to see Nakata back. Weak wrists will really mess you up on the Salmon Ladder, I hope he has a good showing but times out in the first stage or something so that it doesn't have to come to that.

If Nakata does clear the First Stage, and maybe even the Salmon Ladder, we may have to christen him the biggest badass in Sasuke history. I always liked him and was bummed he never got to clear the Globe Grasp. One of the things I hate is that I've never seen any of his 17 footage. I've seen most of 17, just not his runs.

That's right, Enchi had the landing on the Jumping Spider stuck but he lost his footing. If he can keep the landing correct, he's got a chance, I feel.
I for one am so happy to see Nakata make a return, bad wrists or no bad wrists (though you gotta admit, with bad wrists, this is an extremely gutsy move). There's no doubt he can make the 3rd stage again....well, ok, maybe the Salmon Ladder may be a bit of a problem (as even before his injury his upper body wasn't always his strong suit). I hope he's good enough to come back semi-regularly again because with an injury like his, any time could be his last (and I hate to say that). He was always one of the most impressive performers I've seen - he didn't make it to the 3rd Stage 4 times for nothing.
EDIT: Oh, and in terms of 17, G4 fast-forwards through his runs in the first 2 stages, but show him in full (how little it lasted) in stage 3.

So he hasn't had another surgery to correct the alignment of his wrists? And hes taking on the course in the state it is now!? Holy s*** thats impressive! With that much balls that would be painful putting your legs back together after the jumping spider.

If he can make it to the Third Stage again in this condition - or heck, even make it past the Salmon Ladder - he may become a hero to us all!

I think if he can make it to the Everchanging Obstacle (The one that is between the Stick Slider and Metal Spin (Net Bridge, Skywalk, Stick Slider) then he will be the most respected competitor on the whole course.

No doubt about that. I don't see it happening, though. Salmon Ladder is far harder than the Arm Rings, he's never had the best upper body strength and people like Takeda and Koji Yamada are failing the Salmon Ladder.

Takeda Toshihiro and Yamada Koji failing the Salmon Ladder, I hope I don't catch Fire in Gifu on top of one of those And thats why I said that would be impressive if he makes it that far

Hey, do we know if some of the other semi-regulars like Yuji Washimi, Kenji Takahashi and Shinji Kobayashi are going as well?

I'm not sure about Kobayashi, but I'd expect that the other two guys would be there. Takahashi and Washimi are two of the favorites, so if they aren't there it will be a huge disappointment.

I'm told "no garbage man".. but she's not entirely sure.. so far no Koji and no Shinji if her memory is good. Dunno if Washimi was there or not.

ding-ding-ding! That's the answer I was hoping for (to the burning question I didn't want to ask lest I appear too nosy). But I'll keep it here. Yeehaw...Doing the happy baton twirl!
