Oh this topic can be it's own thread tbh. If possible, please keep this thread free of anything other than Drew's legal saga. We are at 21 pages and counting. Just reiterating the confusion on the rescheduled date. January or February? Do we have an actual date or just rumors from people who were present/privy from Drew's side? I don't care either way just trying to get a grasp on when the final hearing on this Federal indictment will end and if another one will begin elsewhere. On the courtlistener site, it just "Set/Reset Hearings" On Dec 6th, 2023. However, when I logged into PACER the last filing actually states the new sentencing date which is on January 24th at 11 AM.

What happened to him did he get convicted out of interest? Procedures postponed to February Where did you hear February if you don't mind me asking? Joe said the rumor is January but nothing is confirmed as of right now On other words, there was an update posted on his case on December 6th. It wasn't exactly a filing as there was no new document uploaded, but instead it said: Dec 6, 2023 - Set/Reset Hearings

Apparently his sentencing got postponed according to Joe. Don't know when it could be, but its likely it will be another few months at least.

Looks like you were right. His case was terminated on courtlistener but continued on pacermonitor www.pacermonitor.com/case/49100716/USA_v_DRECHSELIt is paywalled but if you can log in it provided a bunch of updates. He plead guilty and sentencing will begin on October 24, 2023 at 11 AM. No trial because he pleaded guilty otherwise had he kept the not guilty he had when he was first charged it would result with witnesses having to be present and being cross-examined by his lawyer. Therefore instead, the judge will just impose his sentence and he'll be remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshal Some other updates based on those filings. The plea deal revealed that court is dropping a few of the charges which were: Manufacture of Child Pornography and Use of Interstate Commerce to Entice a Minor which were the 2 harshest charges. I also noticed the Travel with the Intent to Engage in Illicit Sexual Content charge was also not there in the plea deal. Instead, he is being prosecuted on 2 counts now: Receipt of Child pornography (not manufacturing of CP which is strange since that's what he did but I guess that was part of the plea to to reduce it a lesser CP charge) which carries a lighter sentence of a minimum of 5 years and maximum of 40 years instead of minimum of 15 which is what he was originally facing. And Enticement to Travel for Illicit Sexual Conduct (maybe they merged the travel with the intent to engage illicit sexual conduct with this charge since it seemed redundant) which is one of the original charges that stands and this carries a max of 20 years with no minimum. As part of plea, it was stated in one of the docs that he must comply with any applicable sex offender registration requirement in New Jersey and in each jurisdiction he resides in. He must also pay restitution to any of his minor victims. I am assuming the additional victims they found are being combined with this case since it mentions "any of his minor victims" implying more than 1 or that they dropped those victims since they couldn't build upon those cases. Not sure entirely. I am also not sure what will happen with the states that were charging him as well. Maybe those will be dropped or maybe they'll run concurrently Finally, it comes to an end

Pretty ominous news I just found out www.courtlistener.com/docket/17413319/united-states-v-andrew-drechsel/Underneath "Date filed" it says "Date Terminated: June 1st, 2023" Based on what I read and googling legal jargon, I am assuming this means that Drew's case gets dismissed. Pretty crazy if this is what is actually going on. Hopefully I am wrong though since when I went to go check the inmate finder, he's still there in the detention center but maybe it takes time to process a termination

There were other ninjas that confirmed Drew had blueprints to the course and was sharing it to other people. He's had the blueprints since season 9. I know people are going to deny it and say it's completely "bs" but there are credible sources to prove it.
On a sidenote, a new 90 day extension was dropped today. It lasts up till July 7th

oh yeah idk if im allowed 2 say this but nbc has ats send blueprints of the obstacles ahead of time to the top stars so they can practice early. i'm not against it tbh, cause it helps get better results. i'd honestly do the same.
How well do you know this to be true? I don’t doubt your wrong but it would be refreshing to know how true this is.
I can confirm that Drew had blueprints of the course ahead of time starting from season 9... i believe before he won he set up an similar replica of vegas whuch had 24 obstacles that he would do in a single run which is why it was so shocking that he didnt win earlier considering all the additional help he had

After some digging, I found out he got transferred to a federal detention center in Philadelphia and his register number is 73733-018. We'll see what happens next and if I can find any additional information.

Here's some minor news if anyone was wondering. About 2 hours ago according to the VINElink, he was released from Essex Correctional County Facility and transferred to Salem County Correctional Facility. Curious if he'll spend the rest of his time here before trial or if he'll get transferred somewhere else. Also makes me curious if this was one of the many locations he is facing charges from. ETA: sccf-pubweb.salemcountynj.gov:8085/IMLholy s***, type out "ANDREW, DRECHSEL, and his date of birth: 01/06/1989, and you'll see his new mugshot and his additional charges.. pretty disturbing

Has there been any updates on the legal proceedings? Nothing new has been filed since October 1st. I think it’s possible we may not even hear anything new until sometime next year since they’re in the discovery phase which can take large amounts of time especially with COVID causing a delay in things. I think the only reason there were weekly filings back in September through October was because they would go back and forth with the court trying to bail out but kept failing. Now with him being firmly denied, he’s going to have to wait it out until trial

It was a female only championship. I believe it ends on the power tower as well and the winner takes home $50,000. I heard that it may air around January when USA vs World would usually air

Pretty good episode overall. This episode had two elements I really didn't like though- both in the same section: They're implying that they're treating this year as a proper winner (in my book it's not the same as beating a four-stage Midoriyama course) AND they called it the "first Power Tower showdown"! I'd like to think it's the first and only one please! Agreed. It seems like they aren't referring the person who does the best as the LNS, but instead the winner/champion. Makes me wonder if they get the same title Geoff, Isaac, and unfortunately Drew have. Technically they are the winner of the season but to get the same title? Whoever it is shouldn't be grouped with those 3 if they don't get to attempt and finish a 4 stage course in my opinion.

Only negative thing I've ever heard about him before this news broke out is him coming off a bit too cocky at times. Hearing him being rude to production is new to me considering how hard they've pushed him as the face of the show and for him to win especially with the introduction of the safety passes. Would be interesting to hear all the other shady moments he's done to others.
