Here's the high quality TV advert 😂🤣😂
Yes this really is what we were confronted with on Saturday evening. Also, seems like the episode they are going to air first is the third one they filmed - unconfirmed but looking likely considering almost all of the promo has been based around heat 3's obstacles.
EDIT: Ail Hay said he is in this weekend's episode and as he competed in heat 3 this is even more likely going to be the third heat.
They've now made another advert, this time with Ruel DaCosta (who coincidentally also competed in heat 3) ...I guess this is indeed heat 3 then!

Not just the main theme, but a full OST has now been uploaded to the Ninja Warrior UK Youtube Channel. I'm not 100% on this, but I think this makes it the first ever ninja show to have its own, fully original soundtrack. Sasuke has a few original tracks but more often licensed (or outright stole) copyrighted material from other places.

I personally like this idea a lot as it is an innovation for ninja warrior.

Sneak preview video (in other words the episode intro) is on YouTube:
**EDIT** Saturday's course is indeed the heat 3 course and contains two original(ish) obstacles!
They're really trying to hype up this series: they've uploaded 2 behind the scenes videos on their YouTube channel as well.

Why is this here? Is it just coz their names are similar?

Only caught the tail-end of the broadcast - I didn't know a new season was here!
It seems there new rules which remove the counting-upwards timer, which is nice. Now we just need a timer which counts down!
Was it just me, or were the cut-away shots to competitors' friends/family etc. really loud compared to everything else? Hopefully they balance the audio a little better in future episodes.
Also, looking at that results list, what happened to Dion Trigg?? Wouldn't have expected him to come off the first obstacle...
Sounds like the new series might actually be interesting, I'll have to try and catch the rest of the episodes from the beginning.

I was quite encouraged by the first episode, decent obstacles, not a lot of backstory on the contestants, and the highlight for me was the competitor with one leg, to get as far as he did was truely inspiring

But I do agree this was certainly a promising episode and this year's obstacle choices and the fact that a decent amount of people have been invited back for once could easily make this a good series... unless they do their usual and find a way to catastrophically mess it up... again.

I actually think at this point, editing-wise NWUK does a lot of stuff better than ANW.
Nowhere near the deluge of over dramatic backstories, a greater number of ordinary people/comedic competitors like Sasuke, showing more runs and uploading full runs of cut competitors to Youtube afterwards.

I really think NWUK has hit its stride and with a more interesting course, it can surpass ANW. I'd love for something outdoors and more Sasuke-esque because so far they're really entertaining me.

Second episode was decent, they definitely fixed the audio balance this time around.
Ended up watching some clips of Sasuke 36 afterwards, and I feel like introducing the Rolling Hill would cause murder and mayhem on the UK course - no-one would have the balance for it! It would tie-in nicely with the more slapstick tone they like to set for the heats though.
I'm really hoping the no-timer heats this time around segue into a Sasuke-style 'down' timer next season, but I'm not holding my breath. It would rob them of the showboating and the entertaining mid-to-late stage fails, which they show a lot of.
I'm actually enjoying watching NWUK this year, which is definitely a change from the last time I saw any full episodes (admittedly that was back in Season 1).

Heat 2 Course: - Floating Steps - Silk Slider - Coin Flip - Parallel Pipes - Ring Jump - Warped Wall 12 Warped Wall clears - that means we currently have 20 semi-finalists. Noticably easier course tonight but nice to see lots of returning faces (even though one was cut from broadcast).
