Can confirm both Tim Champion and TEIGE are competing this year! Tim in Heat 4 and Teige sometime earlier this week. Still Confused why Jonny Urszuly or Cain Clarke didn't get the call. Jonny and Cain were the first people in NWUK to reach the second part of Stage 2. Jonny didn't want to compete. He wanted to train and refocus. Tim didn't compete despite invitations because of the lack of monetary compensation. No idea about Owen and Cain though. I assume no Owem because of the other two L.M.S not competing.

REALLY! NWUK has actually realised its problem was not inviting back previous competitors! This is going to be a great series. *And can I just add in, I'm not having a go at you but can you please just put something like 'competitor result spoiler' if you post a spoiler coz even though I didn't click on your spoiler before I can tell it'll be about Dion having an early exit coz you put major, upsetting spoiler. Like I said, I'm not having a go at you but I look on here to see who's competing and obstacles, I don't really want to have any results spoiled, thanks. No results spoilers. Good idea. Thanks. I reckon Owen probably didn't get invited due to 2 early exits in a row and possibly due to the other LMS not participating, like you said. Maybe Cain didn't get asked back coz of his early exits as well, maybe he didn't apply or hopefully he is competing and just none of us have realised.

I am super excited that Chris De Stefano is back! Most of you probably don't remember him, but in my own personal opinion he has a great chance at defeating Mount Midoriyama. He has been training super hard for this and I can't wait to see how he does. Here is his Youtube page www.youtube.com/user/GymnasticSkills

Last year I saw a behind the scenes video and this year the same show has done another behind the scenes preview - it's mostly talking but we do get to see the flying squirrel to trapeze in action:

I hope Brendan is back - he actually knew something about sasuke which suggests he's a proper fan of ninja warrior as a whole. Also, I know nobody else really cares but I've noticed they've changed the colour of the platforms between obstacles back to what it was in series 1 and 2 and the obstacles are plain red again as well.

Brendan Riley didn't get selected. They wanted new faces or competitors from the earlier series

Brendan Riley didn't get selected. They wanted new faces or competitors from the earlier series But they took back Deren, Sam West, Mike Snow and a bunch of Season 3 finalists. I've heard from a member of the production team and their mentality going in was basically: "It's time for someone to reach Stage 4", invite back as many as possible. We have like 2-3X more returning than any other series and they invited quite a few more that just couldn't compete.

Source: This is how I found out Brendan isn't competing Disappointing, but if they keep up this approach I could see him maybe coming back next time.

Just to fill in some time I'm going to guess the first 6 semi final obstacles (not predicting 7 & 8 coz I know them) - probably will be mostly wrong and won't find out just how wrong I am until it airs as I want to keep the semis course onwards a surprise. 1) Floating steps 2) Tick tock 3) Broken bridge (hope it isn't though) 4) Bar hop (it was good last year) 5) I-beam cross 6) Warped wall 9) Rope climb (better than chimney climb and can't see them putting in spider trap or invisible ladder) {Obstacles 7 & 8 (Spoiler)} 7) Catch and release 8) Spinning log

I'm expecting Ring Swing or Rolling Log for #2, Block Run or Razor's Edge for #3, possibly the Jumping Spider for #4 or 5 and something like The Clacker, Double Helix or Stair Hopper alongside it.

I didn't go for ring swing coz they had it for 2 years in a row in that spot, rolling log would be good, i don't think block run will be there coz it's too similar to the obstacle in the spoiler, razor's edge might happen. I don't think they'll have stair hopper coz literally nobody would get past it.

Some potentially interesting and eventful format changes his year:
Only the top 40 advanced to the Semi-Finals across the four heats, but not the top ten from each like you'd expect. Instead, the results of all the heats were pooled together, with competitors only being guaranteed a spot in the semis if they cleared. It's iffy how the rest of the 40 were worked out, because quite a few that made it to obstacle 5 didn't move on.
Next, in the semis, rather than the top thirty from both combined moving on, only the top twenty move on this time, moving the cutoff much later in the course.
