Hadn't seen a post about this, but Ninja Warrior Switzerland will be filming in August!
EDIT: Thanks Perry and Sasukestatistician for the correction

Where do you get your information from? NW Switzerland is still holding audition rounds to cast the competitors for their first season. Filming nor the airing of the show have been announced. We have to wait and see for that.

Today was the application deadline. They still have one more casting event. I believe they will film in August and it will air sometime in the fall.

Yeah you were right, I went back and looked and it is filming in August, not airing. My ability to translate German is not very compared to Japanese and other languages, so my apologies! First post updated.

Because it's cheaper and less risky to do something in a format and style that has been proven to work, rather than sinking huge amounts more of effort and money into a more ambitious format that is also more risky? (I.E. Ninja Warrior Sweden Series 2, which killed the show with its scale being too much to handle) That said, yeah, this looks like another unremarkable show in all aspects. No distinguishing factors, once again copying Ninja Warrior UK's visual presentation like so many others, and seemingly another "by the books" production by APS. Even MT Midoriyama looks pretty cheap and unappealing here, not that we'll likely see it in Series 1.

I'm willing to give this a chance, but as stated above I am skeptical because of the glaring similarities between it and the other European spinoffs.

The first season finished airing last week. They used the same format as Ninja Warrior España. There were five qualifying heats where the top 10 of 32 moved on to the qualifying final and the top 5 there moved on to the final. One of the things I liked about this show is that by only having 32 competitors in each qualifier, every run got shown. I also liked that they invited quite a few foreigners although most were from Germany. I had an issue with their time keeping where the on-screen clock displayed time up to the hundredths place, but wasn't that accurate as different replays of the same run showed different times and the one time the official clock was shown, it differed from the on-screen clock by a hundredth of a second. In the leaderboards there were 0's in both the tenths and hundredths place of all times. There were also a few questionable disqualifications. A couple people were disqualified for touching (not grabbing) a chain supporting a spike while grabbing the spike. One guy was disqualified for stepping on a support cable of the Floating Tiles, but after re-watching his run a few times I couldn't see him definitively touching the cable. Other than these issues I thought it was another decent spin-off. {Notable International Competitors Results}Dion Trigg and Joh-A Kpalete both competed in the second qualifier and cleared advancing to the semi-final. They both failed the Bar Hop coming just short of qualifying. Chloé Henry competed in the third qualifier and failed the Swinging Spikes. Sabrina Knopf competed in the first qualifier and failed the Floating Tiles. {Finals Results}7 out of the 25 finalists completed Stage 1 and 5 of them reached the second part of Stage 2. All five of them failed the Cliffhanger which was the one in the most recent UK season with a larger vertical drop between ledges three and four. Moritz Alder, a 29 year old sports teacher and climbing gym employee, Warren Verboom, a 36 year old skydiving instructor, Michael Rindisbacher, a 32 year old product manager, and Dominique Karlin, a 22 year old carpenter, all failed the vertical transition between ledges three and four. Simon Weiss, a 21 year old university student, failed the jump to the fifth ledge becoming the last man standing.
