Grandmother showed me ANW during the city qualifiers of Season 4. I then went on to YouTube, found Ninja Warrior, and from there found SASUKE.

Watching "Cinematech" "Nocturnal Emissions" and\or "Anime Unleashed" blocks late night on G4 some time in 2007. Ninja Warrior + Midnight Spank. It was a match made in whatever heaven Japanese people go to.

Heard a promo for it on the UK Gameshow channel Challenge in 2007, the rest is history.

Was watching a Cops block with my dad on G4. I want to say it was 2008, give or take a year. He fell asleep. It was like 12am. All of a sudden this crazy Japanese obstacle course show comes on. I see obstacles like the Rolling Log, the crazy and funny joke competitors, the G4 editing and narrating. Damn, just thinking about this gives me such euphoric nostalgia. That was a good time in my life (I need to go watch some more Cops episodes too).

My older brother watched Sasuke on G4 for a few years and I would watch over his shoulder, but I wasn't interested on my own until USA vs. Japan on ANW5. I joined the board after ANW6's USA vs. the World aired.

I used to watch a lot of X-Play and AotS on G4 and one day on AotS, they were promoting one of the American Ninja Challenges and I was hooked. I eventually sat down and watched every Sasuke and Kunoichi and even wrote down all of the results in a notebook at the time. I was a little obsessed and I guess I still am lol. I'll never forget my sister's reaction to Yamada's DQ in Sasuke 12, she was devastated.

Well, perhaps due to something like this. I forgot which competition that I watched first, though... It's basically the G4 version being locally dubbed. They also aired Takeshi's Castle, TV Champion, G4 Kunoichi, Kinniku/Unbeatable Banzuke and also Viking. But I dunno where are they now...

I watched an episode of ANW 4 or 5, saw a guy in a yellow shirt fail the warped Wall then saw a competitor help someone with a dislocated shoulder.
Then I completely forgot about it.
Watched ANW USA vs World 2, researched SASUKE, then attempted to destroy my house by performing the Spider Walk. The rest is history.

I was watching Ninja Warrior Sweden Season 1 and I heard they would send the person who made it the furthest to SASUKE. So I got interested and searched SASUKE on YouTube

Was sick and stayed home from school, my dad suggested I watch this channel called G4. I checked it out and watched an episode of XPlay, then two episodes of Ninja Warrior (Sasuke 17 specifically) and randomly a few weeks later, thought of the show again, looked it up on Youtube and fell in love shortly after

My dad often does this thing where he'll flip through channels and watch a show for 5 minutes then change it. So he was doing this in the living room one day and turned on a show called "Ninja Warrior" and he probably thought it was a old Chuck Norris Bruce Lee type movie that he likes so he turned it on, and almost immediately I got sucked into it. I believe it was Sasuke 23 that was on TV at the time because I remember the Curtain Slider, and my dad and I really liked it. So I would just watch it and record it onto our cable box as often as I could, what tournament I watched didn't matter, it was just the competitors, courses, and all the fun that came with watching random parts of the show for the first time. I don't know if I can ever recapture the feeling I first had when watching Sasuke for the first, I mean, can any of us?

I remember seeing the clip of Nagano winning it all on Sasuke 17 briefly between late 2006 and 2007. Didn't really pay too much attention to it until my friend in early 2008 told me something like "Hey, do you have G4? I'm watching Ninja Warrior, this show is AWESOME" I checked it out online, and then found myself constantly watching it. Fast forward to September of 2008, and I find myself on these boards. Fast forward 7 years later, and I get to meet one of my all time favorite competitors (Shingo Yamamoto) while I was in japan. I REGRET NOTHING. =D

I think it was from my local broadcast in Indonesia, when I was a 4th grader? They took G4's and dubbed it, and it's widely known here as Ninja Warrior

Watching Challenge TV in the UK one morning After a while I noticed the real name signage of "Sasuke" in the background and set out to find more information, since then I've watched most of the Sasuke and Kunoichi contests, and love the spirit of the competitors

It wasjuly of 2011 I think,On Demand I heard about this thing called the cutting edge(which turned out to be G4)I went on it and saw this thing called Ninja Warrior and because I was in Tae-kwon-do at the time I watched it,and loved it so I went to my dad (Rest in Peace) to ask him to watch with me(which he did)and we never missed a new tournament airing for the first time until 27 because we were driving back from a trip to California when it aired on G4.

Heh, that was a while ago. I remember watching it on some Ukrainian channel long ago. And then someday I just thought about it and began my searching. Found it. Watched it. Liked it

Around mid 2009 our neighbour and family friend was spending the night for a sleepover - fairly common back then. We would've both been 11 years old at the time. It was late at night I think and he suggested putting on Ninja Warrior on TV. After that I thought it looked really cool, and started binging it on the TV channel challenge (I think), after that. I then found this forum and went online looking up how everyone did. The TV channel I think only showed SASUKE 3-19 or so. I remember thinking how weird it was that some completely unknown name to me got to the final stage in SASUKE 22, what felt like ages since we've seen a good run, as opposed to someone like Nagano or Nagasaki.
When watching on TV, my favourite person to follow was Shingo Yamamoto, and to this day he's still my favourite competititor.
After finding this forum, I watched SASUKE 23 as my first live competition and since have seen each compeition either live or shortly after.
I tend to only check back here every few months or so, and right before SASUKE 32 I decided to look and suddenly found out that SASUKE was airing the next day. A very similar thing happened this time - which I found funny. It seems I have a secret SASUKE sixth sense!
