It's a Japanese phrase meaning "spiritual peace and enlightenment".
Since 2003, I've used it all over the internet, feel free to Google it.

it is actually a nickname and it has got a long story... Artemis Fowl is the main character in the homonymus books. He is (in the first one) a 12 years old genius that manages to prove the esistence of fairies and kidnap one for his personal purposes. An evil genius. Before taking this one I used to change nickname every single time I read a good fantasy book, but this was particular. A lot of people used to call me a genius because of my memory and how much I read, even if they knew that this was very annoying to me. So after I read this book I though: "Well, you want a genius? Here's your genius!", and officially took Artemis Fowl jr for nickname. Anyway, it is quite long to write, so I usually write it without spaces and writing "Arty" instead of "Artemis". Another thing: Artemis Fowl is a boy, but Artemis was the greek and latin hunting goddes (also called Diana), so it is a mostly female name.
