That moment when everyone complained about Kacy being declared the first woman to beat the Warped Wall, and now she's actually the first woman in SASUKE history to beat the Warped Wall

Oshima did it first! I saw both but Oshima was FIRST! Kacy is just the only person to clear BOTH warped walls, one in the US and over there in Japan.

Ayano did last year. First to get to the top of the wall? Certainly not. First to be on the record as beating the wall within the time limit? Yes.

You taking hers away as well? So this should read "(7) Tarzan Rope" instead of "(6) Soritatsu Kabe"? Not to be smarmy at all, I'm genuinely curious

Let me reword my statement to terms we can hopefully both agree on: Kacy Catanzaro is the first woman in SASUKE history to defeat the Soritatsu Kabe within the time limit. Similarly, Kacy is the first woman in SASUKE history to attempt an obstacle after the Soritatsu Kabe. Both of these are unarguably true. We can still have that Ayano Oshima defeated the Soritatsu Kabe albeit doing so while the time limit expired.

A time up is a fail of the first stage. A time up on the lumberjack is still a fail of the first stage. They don't care. If you are desperate to give Kacy something she is the first to clear the Tarzan rope that existed in Sasuke 32. First to attempt the lumberjack. TBS doesn't care. That's why she's not on tomorrow's program and why Ayano was shown in a fast forward.

OK I should not get involved here and this probably will cause a s**tstorm but it's got to be said... Ayano did in fact complete the obstacle, but time expired before she completed it so she did not clear the obstacle. She was still in the process of attempting the obstacle as time expired Yes, she is locked into the obstacle and she did make it to the top, but she did run out of time while still attempting the obstacle, and the obstacle is not completed until you actually pop over the top, which she did in fact do, But she did not do it within the time limit. so Oshima Ayano IS the first woman to COMPLETE the Soritatsu Kabe in competition, but Kacy is the first woman to CLEAR the Soritatsu Kabe in competition because she completed the obstacle within the time limit and was able to advance off of the obstacle. I'm going to further explain completing the obstacle and advancing off of it, consider Takeda Toshihiro in Sasuke 19, he did in fact CLEAR the Soritatsu Kabe BUT he still timed out on the path between the Soritatsu Kabe and Flying Chute, but it's not considered failing the Soritatsu Kabe because he did in fact complete the obstacle so as far as the records are he did CLEAR the Soritatsu Kabe. I'm not trying to take away anything from Oshima Ayano because she WAS IN FACT THE FIRST WOMAN TO COMPLETE THE OBSTACLE IN SASUKE COMPETITION, BUT she was still attempting the obstacle as time expired so she technically failed the Soritatsu Kabe as far as competition is concerned BUT she did in fact complete the obstacle I'm sorry if anyone is offended by this post, I'm not trying to cause a $#!+storm, I'm just trying to line up the facts

I'm like lost now because we're talking about a different tourney lol We're talking about both tournaments Oshima Ayano completed the Soritatsu Kabe in Sasuke 31, Kacy Catanzaro cleared the Soritatsu Kabe in Sasuke 32, so both tournaments are being discussed in this And no she didn't let go of the top, but if she did definitely wouldn't be the first person who did, which is why you haven't completed the obstacle until you make it over (which she did in fact do)

arsenette Do you know how big the Kacy phenomenon is in Japan? I assume it will be a lot less than US but is she still recognised or is she just seen as like another female competitor? Is this why she was maybe put on the Navi?

Unless you go there by car (and less people do than you'd think) you are stuck at the lot. If you are there from the very beginning on Day One, you're going to be there, weather permitting, at least 12 hours. The audience have less room to move around than the competitors or their supporters. Keeping the audience all the way through the taping is not a good idea. it sounds fun lol how do you get there? lol.........lol. lol.

Is this why she was maybe put on the Navi? No one knew nor cared who she was. She was introduced as Brent's wife and when she failed she got a golf clap and watched the rest of the competition. As for the bulls**t rewriting of history Kacy Catanzaro is NOT the first woman to clear the warped wall. PERIOD. Go back to ANW if you are desperate to tear down someone in an attempt to raise someone else. You guys sound like you work for NBC when they erased Luci Romberg's clear of the jumping spider. I will not stand for it. Kacy failed the lumberjack climb. Be happy with that. Do not under ant circumstances disparage the accomplishments of others before her in order to elevate someone else. I don't care if it was Kacy or not. NBC rewriting of history is not tolerated.
