{Spoiler}Havent even watched yet since I missed the broadcast and have to wait for it to go online, but not happy about the Campbell situation . Didnt view top 15 though. I really wish he got a wild card but I guess I am doubting it.

David's fail pretty much would be something SHINGO would do except not so simple. Feel sorry for him... Where and how did he fail? I missed it. Not where you would expect and it had that Cliffhanger vibe you know the year he had it beat and slipped at the end after he put his feet down mental error yea that type of mistake. I really like Grant Clinton's run. The log runner was brutal again tonight taking out a lot of people again like in qualifying.

Yeah, it bugged me how pretty much for every other person in their late 30s early 40s they try to talk up how they can still compete with the young guys...yet for Campbell's run they constantly were saying how he's getting old and the new guys are so great blah blah blah. If they wanted to be so disrespectful and try to get people to forget about him...WHY SHOW HIS RUN AT ALL??

Also, during Daniel Gil's intro, did anyone find the really random cut to Kacy laughing kinda goofy?

Yet another bizarre episode. At least they showed all the finishes this time. Clinton shocked me. I don't know what sort of brain fart he had in qualifying, but to fall on the Tire Swing and then FINISH the damn course...also being the first one on the back half of the course and then just smashing it was incredible. Might be the ultimate comeback/sob story. Really hated the whole vibe of young guns kicking the veterans a**es, and it didn't help that the veterans didn't show up. Glad Jon Stewart helped put a little fight in the old guys. The way they've treated David Campbell is disgraceful. The whole night they talked about the rookies and sophomores "beating" him. By far the most egregious comment they made was when Gil was at the top of the tower, and they called David the "past". Like he's done. Like he's old s***. David probably trains twice as hard as most of these new guys. I hope he makes NBC look absolutely silly next year. Smashes the city finals course, smashes Stage 1. Hopefully, with having his full run being shown, they'll actually invite him back next year, even if just to paint a walker on him and pretend he's hobbling into the sunset. Honestly, as soon as he got shown after some other dude with a fluff-piece's run AND he got a fluff-piece to himself, which really only ended up making him look sillier, I knew he was going down early. I could barely watch. Seeing him in the same position on that mat as he was on the Silk Slider mat in ANW6 was just sickening. On a more positive note, Daniel Gil's fastest finish meant I predicted 3 of the top 5 finals finishers correctly . Also having just one dude fail the IL meant my pre-season prediction of 4 or less people failing the invisible ladder this season was correct . Why did they make the Tire Swing easier?

It pissed me off how during Jon Stewart's run they were like, "Campbell's about to be beaten by a 54-year-old man.". I mean, I'm happy for Jon, but that's no reason to spit on David like that.

I'm going to be honest here...as exciting the later stages of Sasuke 22 were, this episode was almost like the first stage of that tournament, with "the annoying announcer" being a dick about the vets failing but talking about new era, etc, etc. Yes the vets didn't do very well, but I honestly felt pissed at some of the stuff Akbar was saying. The Jon Stewart comment was COMPLETELY unnecessary. It's a real shame that this episode is going to be remembered for "burying" the vets while "pushing" the newcomers. (Wrestling speak)

They are very arbitrary about which vets they choose to honor, and which they choose to disparage. Unless there are personality-related issues percolating behind the scenes.

Heck I am hoping he gets a chance to get back to stage 1 next year

I hope David Campbell takes action on NBC for the way they treated him...they treated him like a Prisoner of War this episode, the guys who write the scripts for the show should be ashamed of themselves

Do you mean sue them? Because he can't do that because of the contract he signed to compete... Do you mean publicly s*** on the show every chance he can get? Because then NBC can probably take action against him. Do you mean not entering? Because I don't think casting cares based on the fact he already had to walk on. So yeah no clue WTF you're going on about...

With a third ring, I think Ring Swing could replace Rope Jungle. There's space for it, and it would look cleaner and more straightforward. Rope Jungle is a mess, those other ropes create the illusion that you have options, but there's just one practical way to do it, so those other ropes are wasted as visual clutter.
The Window Hang is pretty cool. You can do it like an I-Beam Cross with large gaps, or a kind of two-sided Cliffhanger with a lot of jumps, or both!
I giggled at the same time as Kacy when she mentioned Gil's hair. Just had a feeling she would bring it up.
Grant Clinton was awesome. Incredible how he got through the Window Hang so effortlessly. He's basically the golden story the network wants - Dude nearly died, then comes on ANW as a rookie and beats a Finals course.
Really bummed out about Campbell. But there's still Sasuke Vietnam!

Cambell going down on the obstacle he did was kind of shocking since David has been one of the most constient guys in ANW qualfyings.

I still need to watch it tonight tbh, but I remember when it said Campbell had 2 sprained ankles a while ago while on Qualifiers.

Remember Travis Allen Schroeder? Grant Clinton is like him reborn. I wonder how much that dude weighs, and if he could do Stage 3. They also said Jon Stewart made it to Vegas last year...

Good news! David Campbell ran last night. From the "The Godfather needs a little help" thread: He posted on his Instagram that he ran w/ 2 sprained ankles. Ankle pic is not pretty lol This said something about him with 2 sprained ankles but dont remember where picture is.
