So do we know why Lee didn't compete? I feel like it was more of a choice considering Drew (and I think another foreigner?) are competing.

No Sawayama Rina? she was one of my favourite of the girls and she has a beautiful smile. Very curious to see how Alexander Mars goes, I think he has a good chance of going far

Yeah, it was Alex Mars I was thinking of. But yeah, in all honesty I feel if Mars and Drew are there then Lee not competing was most likely by his own choice.

It's a shame there won't be a UK representative at SASUKE 31. Tim Shieff would slaughter the course IMO lol

I hope Mars has improved his spider walk technique because what he did on Ninja Warrior Sverige wasn't too good. He might struggle on the Spider Drop section.
Anyway, was Miska there? I wouldn't be surprised if he was but I don't think so. I hope he gets a chance at SASUKE soon.

Sorry for asking if your not allowed to answer yet but were the foreign delegations there to discuss/get information on Sasuke World or were they just invited?

Sorry for asking if your not allowed to answer yet but were the foreign delegations there to discuss/get information on Sasuke World or were they just invited? To my knowledge it was mostly for license selling purposes. Like for example the Saudi Arabia prince was there to decide if he wanted the Sasuke format (a.k.a. Japan version that Vietnam bought) or the Ninja Warrior/Eccholine version (a.k.a. NWUK, Sweden, etc. version). Everyone was there in terms of that since TBS International has a large presence in Sasuke hoping to expand on both licenses. I'm biased and I want more Sasuke but they are both there for that reason. If there was discussion on the World Cup it was hush hush and not openly discussed. I counted a total of 7 delegations? Sweden, USA (with Drew), Bahrain, Turkey, UK (no competitors though sadly), 2 upcoming ones that aren't openly discussed in Europe. Saudi Arabia was scouting. Sasuke always provides a great opportunity for foreigners to see whether they want the license in their country by seeing what it looks like in action.

Question, as all of a sudden while trying to think of stuff to keep from being depressed/sad tonight as the past week and a half have just been emotionally and physically draining I realized that I've been bad and forgotten about Sasuke 31: is the translated list of competitors on the wiki and the guessing game thread correct, since some of those names are just awesome if they are? If so, I'll print it out sometime at work on Monday if I can (since Monday will still be a weird and long day, but at least I'm doing something good and helpful to my coworkers as part of it, because it's been a rough week and a half for all of us). At least I realized that I can catch it live - I won't be able to sleep in on Wednesday until 8 since I don't have to leave for work until 10 am ET for my late night, and my housemate can catch it also if she doesn't want to wait for recordings since that's her late night at her branch as well...

The translated list was more than likely machine translated, which is why some of the names are words and not actual names.
