My thoughts on the episode- When I first saw the teams I was rooting for Jessie's team, but when they were taken out I favoured Rosen's TNT in the final. Thought Adam Arnold did very well to get Travis back in the game and, as soon as he and Joe got to the tower on level ground I knew Travis would win since we saw his rope-climbing skills in USA vs the World. Very happy for him. Couldn't take the Moravsky's seriously with Rob's overdone pre-run faces. Loving the show so far, and by the way I'm rooting for Kevin Bull's team. Has anyone who's seen the preview for tonight's episode (I can't view it from my country) tell me who the four teams are?

Yesterday's episode was Ian Dory's team (Midoryama), Neil Craver's team (Golden Dream Team), Brandon Mear's team (Towers of Power), and David Campbell's team (NorCal Ninjas)

Is it bad that I found the 10 minute preview of Episode 3 more entertaining than the entirety of Episode 2? Edit: Ratings are up. They didn't break top 100 but they made it on the top 150 originals among adults. Top 100 cable shows among adults 18-49 for Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016 (not on list) UPDATED: SHOWBUZZDAILY’s Top 150 Tuesday Cable Originals & Network Update: 1.26.2016 (Rank 105) Place: 105 TEAM NINJA WARRIOR ESQUIRE NETWORK 8:00 PM 60 (Mins) 0.10 (P18-49 Rating) P2+000 273 That means Team Ninja Warrior was watched by 273,000 (less than last week) and had a rating of 0.10 in the adult demo only in the "originals" category (up by .01) but didn't place in overall cable. Esquire mentions that the premiere was the highest rated in their history. Granted, Esquire has only been around for over a year or so but they don't really have a lot of programming that anyone flocks over to see. Again, just like G4, a Ninja Warrior show is touted as the highest rated show on their network. It's the same size (a touch larger but that's not saying much) than G4TV. G4 has done 0.2 before and Esquire so far has done 0.1 with less people watching than G4. G4 managed almost 400k people watching ANW once. They need to figure out something as most are complaining that their cable packages don't carry Esquire and those who do have it think it's ANW's preliminary round...

I'm really suprised that Nicholas Coolridge couldn't get up the wall the first two tries. I've seen him doing a more difficult wall IMO (apex norcal) with only two steps and from close distance. I do know from personal experience that it's more difficult to do the wall without any rest but I thought for him would be easy. APEX's wall is actually one of the easier ones; super grippy, not especially tall, not especially steep. The walls at team were as tall/steep as any we've had, and were super slick from dust. Plus, a lot of guys dipped their feet at one point or another during their runs, adding and extra level of oh-shitness to the walls

Was this wall different than the one on the regular show?or just the conditions made it more difficult? Also, would you say that the wall on the show is steeper than the one at Apex? They are both 14 ft but I've heard many people at the gym saying that the wall at Apex is steeper and more difficult. Perhaps Brian or David can also share, I think they are on here. I even heard people saying that if you can reach for the 13ft hole at the one at Apex then you can probably do the one on the show. I understand the extra level of difficulty from people trying it out with wet shoes. If I remember right I think Nicholas was the first to try the wall on the first episode and he missed the first two attemps. I do understand that even the ones who are the most comfortable with the wall can still miss it for different reasons.

The wall in regular ANW Qualifiers has been made progressively easier over the years, starting with season 4 (the curve has gotten more gradual). Team Ninja's were steeper and variably slippery. Much more like the ANW 2 and 3 walls. I can't really say much re: Apex's Wall vs the most recent ANW Regionals wall. They're both easier than average. If you can do one semi-tired and emotionally distraught, you can probably do the other.

Akbar is a terrible co-host. I miss Jimmy Smith as a co-host. They shouldn't have switched hostess either. Kristine was the perfect one.

Enjoyed this week a lot. The competition was really up and down but every exciting to watch. I expected they were going to retcon Luci's Sasuke accomplishment.. still hurts though. She still rocks though. Fan for life ♥

IT WAS SO MUCH FUNNNNNNNZIE! It was so much fun to watch. ♥ Thanks for repping Sasuke in a hardcore way by painting it on your friggin' body, doing the Takeda/Nagano caning ritual™ and yelling Asa's trademark battlecry! ♥ Edit: Ratings are up. They didn't break top 100 but they made it on the top 150 originals among adults. Dropped significantly this week.

So there's 8 episodes. 6 heats, the final.... what's the 7th episode? Is there some sort of wild card thing, maybe rounding out the finals to 8?

William and I taped our podcast tonight and I agree with him that it could be a lucky loser showdown.

I would actually guess that the finals would take two episodes total. I think it would be difficult to press 6 teams worth of material into one episode. However a wild card round would be fun.
