¥12,000(税抜) (without tax) and ¥12,960(税込) (with tax). Sucks they won't ship outside Japan though. Also this is a Region 2 DVD (meaning that unless you have a Region 2 DVD player you can't play it).
Preorders are being accepted until April 10th?

Realizing you have a region 2 DVD: Realizing you don't live in Japan: It's unfair, that's what it is.

With everything.. they are starting for the first time doing this at all. I would STRONGLY recommend pressuring them on Social media to do SOMETHING about the lack of sale outside of Japan. They need to know this will sell overseas.

Or if you happen to know someone who lives in Japan who can send you a copy True, however it doesn't change the problem of not being able to play on a Region 1 DVD player.

Region 2 DVDs work on the PC right?
Also yeah, it's absolutely 100% lazy and pathetic that they don't even ALLOW international shipping. I'd gladly pay extra shipping for it.

You just need a Region 0 or Region Free player, which will play any disk from any region. They're not that hard to come by when shopping online, retail however usually only stocks region 1.

I wonder if this DVD set has an eventual chance at an international release if it sells well enough. Similarly, I'm curious if there might be any additional digital merchandise related to SASUKE will be available for sale via the TBS website, such as a CD of the original music that's been composed for SASUKE 29 onward.

I'm working on the DVD part but we'll see how it goes in Japan first. Lord knows I hope it works well enough for them to do more even if it's in the Rising era.

If anyone can get their hands on a copy, it can be ripped and shared. Computer DVD drives aren't typically region free, but they can be persuaded.
Arsenette, perhaps you could suggest the idea of starting a virtual store, where people can just directly pay X amount with a credit card or Paypal account, and receive a special link to download the competition. It cuts down on overhead and makes it much easier to make everything worldwide friendly, as I remember you and I talked numbers before (big numbers). And if they still have other merchandise like towels and bibs and whatnot, they could just add the digital merch to that store. Virtual shopping and one-touch buying is huge in America. Things would sell.

It's not that simple though with the money conversion and the fact that Paypal is not universal.. especially when money exchange is involved. Besides.. it's a royal pain in the butt to do orders individually. Either way though, I hope this website will somehow take those orders. I emailed and they replied but they have to get back to me as to what they can discuss openly (they are actively seeking that information out from TBS) so we'll see. I'm still working on a backup of actually having an international release for it but that will take time and a bunch of persuading. I have to wait first to see how they dealt with it in Japan before TBS tries to expand on it.

Just saying, TBS should have done Blu-Ray, better quality, could be 1 disk instead of a 5 DVD set, works region free. Just saiyan.

Region is not a worry for me, DVD players in Australia are usually Region free from what I have seen in stores, but the only problem is the price (¥13,000, seriously) and the lack of shipping outside of Japan (I actually just laughed at shipping)

The TBS ishop is not the only way to get the DVDs. It is if you want to try to get the limited edition wrist bands (not guaranteed for all buyers, I think). Several sellers on RakutenVia Amazon JapanI've heard about, but have never used (for obvious reasons), this service which is a middleman for getting stuff from Amazon Japan delivered to other countries. It's possible that some of the Rakuten Japan sellers might ship overseas but I'm not going to go through every seller to figure it out.

Looks like if you buy it from Amazon you could get instant video version. But does it has to get the japanese version of instant video to work?

That ad has nothing to do with the SASUKE DVD. That's just an ad banner that is there on every dvd page.

Inui posting that he edited (or is editing) the uncut DVD. It will have never before seen stuff (not just the stuff they added on the Youtube channel.

He wants people to let him know if they notice all the stuff that gets added on from the original broadcast. I'm assuming he means more than just adding runs.
