Well glad they showed my run if just briefly. I'm really sad they didn't show Justin Kydd at all, he had an incredible run. Great run for Kninja! Your daughter is unbelievably adorable. My gf couldn't stop squealing at the cuteness Justin's run would have been sweet to see again, along with Yancey (the very first run of the night) and he crushed it! Glad it showed you if only for a few seconds. I definitely got some nice air time, but I was super pumped to see me on the "comparison" of how to do the devil steps! So sick! I didn't know I crushed those that hard! It is so freaking epic to see my own run on Ninja Warrior! Dream come true. NBC fluffs things up for TV, but honestly just watching the course run was sick!

So what happened with Paul Kasemir on the cargo net?

I'm just going off of things I've heard, I wasn't there so I can't confirm nor deny this (technically I shouldn't anyways but...) From my information I heard it was on the Devil Steps, the exact same thing that happened to Anthony Scott happened to Paul but the judges let him move on despite the fact Paul was aware of what happened...

Still watching it, I just wanted to ask one question. Is it just me, or was that "it's better than a house falling on you" jibe after Josiah's run a little...insensitive?

I was there and I have no idea what you are talking about. Then again, I didn't get to see Paul's run because I was on the opposite side of the course.

Paul's run was definitely digested because he got his feet wet. A little surprising that it turned out to be him, but it's rather undeniable-- you can see his wet footprints on the wall during his digest. They've heavily featured him in every previous season as well, they didn't give so much as a mention to him this time around.
Too bad Brandon and Jake didn't compete. They've always been fun to watch and they're pretty nice guys.
Noah Kaufman still rubs me the wrong way. Very cocky.

Fair enough, Rider. Anyways, as per usual for me, I will be posting the list of qualifiers, and I do have some further thoughts to expound upon. 1. Lorin Ball: Finished, 1:04.27 2. Paul Kasemir (WHY YOU DIGEST?!): Finished, 1:09.04 3. Lance Pekus: Finished, 1:20.06 4. Daniel Larson-Fine: Finished, 1:26.11 5. Justin Kidd: Finished, 1:29.97 6. David Schwartz: Finished, 1:37.45 7. Kyle Sinacori (WHY YOU CUTS?!): Finished, 1:41.41 8. Christopher Romrell: Finished, 1:46.72 9. Yancey Quezada: Finished, 1:56.72 10. Robin Pietschmann: Finished, 1:56.79 11. Isaac Caldiero: Finished, 1:56.97 12. Karson Voiles: Finished, 2:00.36 13. Matthew Wilder: Finished, 2:01.23 14. Brian Arnold: Finished, 2:32.86 15. Dan Entmacher: Finished, 2:37.53 16. Yen Chen (sorry about the digest, nehcney): Finished, 2:43.53 17. David Bortz: Finished, 2:58.25 18. Alex Manikowski: Finished, 3:09.04 19. Dr. Noah Kaufman: Finished, 3:26.30 (Probably about 2:45 without the showboating) 20. Josh Newhouse: Finished, 3:26.37 21. Ian Dory: Finished, 3:35.48 22. Meagan Martin: Finished, 4:46.29 (You go, girl! Never give up!) 23. Keith Peters: Failed Warped Wall, 1:39.91 24. Phil Gavigan: Failed Warped Wall, 1:56.59 25. Carl Fantauzzo, Jr.: Failed Warped Wall, 2:15.59 26. Jared Higginson: Failed Warped Wall, 2:20.93 27. Jon Stewart (no, not THAT Jon Stewart): Failed Warped Wall, 2:44.30 28. Joel Brady: Failed Warped Wall, 3:08.18 29. Ronnie Shalvis, Jr. (WHY YOU CUTS?!): Failed Devil Steps, 0:31.43 30. Austin Lutz: Failed Devil Steps, 0:33.21
Shocking Fails: Michelle Waterson, Anthony Scott (mostly the latter as I've NEVER seen someone do that) And now, further thoughts... I liked Noah Kaufman's outfit. It was amusing. All that goodwill was drained away by his showboating on top of the Warped Wall before hitting the button. When the commentators have to tell you repeatedly to hit the buzzer, you are getting WAY too carried away. It was Levi Meeuwenberg's Warped Wall backflip times a factor of 10.
Also, Brian Arnold quitting his job to focus on training for ANW...I'm getting serious Yamada vibes from that. I hope it goes better for Brian Arnold, or that I'm simply getting the wrong impression.
Finally, good job making Denver more difficult, course designers! Next year, can you make Miami more difficult WITHOUT making one of the other courses easier?

Despite Noah's showboating and how he may come across on TV he is actually a really nice guy in person. He took his sweet time going through the course so that he could have an early run for the city finals because they run them slowest to fastest.
As for Brian Arnold quitting his job.... I hope it was because he had a better offer somewhere else after ninja warrior was over haha! Brian is a super cool guy that is smart enough to make good choices so I would bet that he isn't pulling a Yamada! (though I am a Yamada fan on the course I don't think I would take life advice from him haha)
Denver was definitely one of the more difficult courses minus the "cat grab", especially considering the icy conditions.

Nice job on your guys runs is always fun to watch and I admire the skills you guys have in tackling a course like that and the training that goes into preparing yourself for the course.

He took his sweet time going through the course so that he could have an early run for the city finals because they run them slowest to fastest. Huh, I didn't know that. I never doubted that he was a good guy, and I apologize if I came off as such. I always make sure to separate how people appear on TV from how they are in reality, because the camera doesn't lie, it manipulates. It still rubs me a bit the wrong way how he took his time, but I can understand why he did so.

The camera plays tricks! Hopefully I looked like a beast and not a jerk!

I read this thread before watching the episode and was a little confused about how people described Kasemir's run. After watching the episode and seeing the wet steps why aren't people more irate for the blatant favoritism? It's even more difficult to understand because it happened to someone else who was called for it. Everyone finds the littlest problems to complain about and is letting this go, surprised.

My thoughts exactly. I would have thought the boards would be ablaze with contempt but it has been notably quiet. Paul is a pretty well liked guy, so I don't think people mind too much, but, um, it's pretty much cheating.

For my part, I'm very displeased about it. I, however, just didn't notice it during the broadcast, as I was too focused on being annoyed about his digest. There's also the fact that we don't necessarily KNOW that that's what happened. After all, the steps or something else could have been wet from someone wiping out on the Devil Steps, and that's why Paul Kasemir's feet were wet.

There's a lot of misinformation that gets posted here, so unless someone has definitive proof (video or photos) that his foot hit the water, I'll remain skeptical of the claim. There are other explanations for the supposed footprints on the WW (condensation, his shoes got wet from stepping in a previous competitors puddle, etc...).
