Good to see that with the Miami finals, it went up a little in numbers (thankfully, I was able to watch it no problem again) and I guess in a way, now that a good portion of people are keeping up with the show, you've got those who'll have their favorites as far as competitors goes in each different region. Thus, some people are going to tune in for those regions for their personal faves, compared to others who'll watch it for the overall development of seeing who makes it to Vegas and who falters.

Okay some numbers are coming in. Just like last year I'll keep the first page updated and adjusted as the numbers come in. As a reminder we get "fast numbers" for network first.. then weekend cable numbers (usually just Futon Critic on Tuesday night) and then adjusted network a day later. So far the articles I found for NBC's coverage Monday night: Detailed by Night RankingDetailed HourlyMore articles: Head to headRatings Chart

LOL They had no competition Everything was on repeats. Numbers are pretty identical so that's the base I'm referring to. It hasn't gone up or down considerably so this is the core that NBC has to count on. They've been dead solid every week. So it's about 4-5 mil each week. Btw.. is Vegas next week? I'm trying to get a gauge of what is coming up next.

I can't wait for tonight's ratings; it could be the highest of the season or the lowest of the season. Major factors: (1) NFL games (2) Time change (3) "Million Second Quiz"
ANW took a hit against a pre-season NFL game, so it's likely to take a hit tonight. The time change can go either way. A later time-slot means more potential viewers, but casual viewers might not realize the change. It'll be the first time this season that ANW will have a lead-in other than local programming. If "Million Second Quiz" can do for ANW5 what "America's Got Talent" did for ANW4, then that might mitigate the first two factors.

This definitely will be close as stated. I'm willing to believe that the NFL games will be predominant, depending on the teams and all. At least with the first one that's on by the time I'm posting this, I know a lot of people will tune in to that. For the 2nd one, I kind of think it'll mainly be the fans.

We should get a better idea around 11 am EST tomorrow when the first set of numbers come out. So far each time it changed to a later time slot it didn't do so hot. We'll see though. It's been hanging in since it's core hasn't changed greatly.

Last set of numbers.. They.. got slaughtered when real competition showed up.. I mean.. slaughtered. They even lost to repeats this time as well (CBS). The problem was.. ANW actually did the same numbers they always do but when competition showed up they didn't attract more viewers, they lost viewers. So far the articles I found for NBC's coverage Monday night: Detailed by Night RankingDetailed HourlyAdjusted numbers (ANW's number went down)More articles: Head to headRatings ChartMonday cableSo.. in order.. ESPN (cable) - Monday Night Football - 14.329 million viewers, #1; 7.493 million adults 18-49 ( 5.9 rating) ABC - Dancing with the Stars - Season Premiere (8-10PM) - 16.04 Million - Rating 3.1 Share 9 (DWTS went up past 16.5 million during the 9 pm hour and kept rising) FOX - Sleepy Hollow - Series Premiere - 10.10 Million - Rating 3.5 - Share 9 CBS - (9:30 PM) The Big Bang Theory (R) - 6.12 Million - Rating 1.8 - Share 5 CBS - (9:00 PM) 2 Broke Girls (R) - 5.02 Million - Rating 1.5 - Share 4 USA (cable) - WWE Raw (9:00) - 4.162 million viewers, 1.842 million adults 18-49 ( 1.5 rating) NBC -American Ninja Warrior (9-10:01PM) 4.04 Million - Rating 1.5 Share 4 (Futon Critic has them technically listed in 10th viewers (with the previous numbers on Tuesday so it may be the same or slightly lower) with 6th in demo which includes cable btw which also might be slightly lower since the initial numbers were adjusted down including it's rating). So all in all not good numbers for the final but solid numbers for another season. They might want to consider not running into Season Premiere time and just keep it under Summer competition since there's really nothing new showing during that time. They can easily rank 1-3 network with almost no competition. Different story when up against the big boys. I wouldn't be surprised if THIS is what they were waiting for when deciding when to schedule the USA vs. Japan Special.

NBC hasn't had a hit during the summer in about 6-7 years.. so they will keep ANW. However when they have a looooooong season like this one that ran into the early fall schedule they will lose out. They can bring it back with almost no competition next summer if they shorten it back to about 8-10 weeks. Right now 12 week is just too long. I would be VERY surprised if it didn't come back honestly. The show is cheap to produce especially without having to pay for actor's salaries and people will keep lining up to try to qualify for it for the chance of money they haven't even paid out yet. It will be back.

No point in creating another thread for this: Lineup against the Japan vs USA Special Monday, January 13, 2014. Yikes.. premiere episodes and new content. I don't see repeats on anything. It doesn't look good.

So far the articles I found for NBC's coverage Monday night: Detailed by Night RankingDetailed HourlyMore articles: Head to headRatings Chart4th for the night (as a 2 hour) with them increasing in the 2nd hour but not by much. Viewers weren't so hot (average for ANW but 11th for the night overall including cable), however, it had the best demo ratings than even ALL of ANW5's airings. I'm sure that's a win for NBC (making them do it again this year) especially considering they were up against actual competition and did better than their horrible last night in Vegas (see full chart in the first page). As a reminder updated numbers appear in a couple of days. I'll adjust it accordingly if it goes up or down or stays the same.

That's at least good to hear they did good overall, even considering a lot of new stuff being shown on a lot of networks. One thing that thankfully is good for NBC is that some of the premieres have been either decent or people are just "one and done" for the premieres that were on last week and didn't bother this week. Another thing for a possibility is that people DVR'ed the shows on the other networks.
